Does anyone have any tips for dealing with Jeskai Control?

Etched Champion and Aether Grid are solid, especially once they drop stony silence.

This deck is probably going to have a lot of trouble surviving rotation. Every new addition seems to weaken the deck, while there are only very few actual strengthening cards. I'd wait till the meta settles a bit, since depending on meta choices it will become terrible - or still do quite well. (If yaheeni's expertise or artifact destruction becomes popular this deck won't be good anymore).

Funny you say that, seeing as they just banned copter. Any thoughts on where we go from here? And please, before someone suggests it, Heart of Kiran does not equal copter.

I think Hope of Ghirapur will be hard to enable, since it has to connect in order to work, which could be hard.

On another note, has anybody had success with Bomat Courier yet? I've seen some lists online where he popped up as a 1-of, I don't know if its worth to test him. Any thoughts?

I think Bomat's more of a "gotcha, I have a hasty guy" card that occasionally draws you cards, but it most likely a surprise one of. I doubt it's actual benefit is very high, so it probably doesn't matter whether or not you run a 1 of.

guys, with enraged giant we just found a big plating carrier and stony solution!

I guess it's....okay? I'm not sure what you'd take out though to fit him into most lists. Grid just seems a lot more versatile as an "answer" to stony, and it's harder to answer.

Was thinking of an MB like this. Having an extra couple madness enablers seems good.

Hey Tiemuu, mind posting your current sideboard? I'd like to go back to having Chandra in the side and just wanna make sure I'm on the right track. My results have been ok with the M Majors sideboard, but it still doesn't feel great against Marvel so I'd rather diversify a little more. Do you still like her against the new Marvel builds?

How has sinister concoction in the SB treating you? I've been heavily considering it.

Avacyn's judgement seems terrible vs GB because everything they play has so much toughness. You'd have to pay 12 to take care of 1 Ishkana for instance. The only way I could see it being good is if you use it to fireball the last few points and I think Chandra is better in that role although I could be wrong. I'm currently on an agressive version of RB Zombies which is similar, but still definately a different deck where Voldaren Pariah is well supported and that does a great job of breaking through Ishkana and killing an Emrakul. It was also handy yesterday making Brisela look very bad.

Yeah, I miscalculated ishaknah + spiders' toughness. Judgement does indeed seem bad. Would you mind sharing your zombies list or a similar one? I've always wanted to try out a voldaren pariah deck.

Miserable 1-3 at FNM, had some very close games but ended up flooding pretty often. Beat UR spells, lost to BW control and 2 GB Delirium players. Not sure how else to shore up the GB matchups, but Skysovereign overperformed. Chandra was also a house, as to be expected. I faced a lot of aggro last FNM so my board was geared towards that. Not sure how much I like Lost Legacy either, it does zero things when you're behind and requires BB. Can I do anything more mitigate flooding? I already run 4 keys...was thinking about splashing for something like painful truths, or playing avacyn's judgement for a late-game topdeck.

Has anyone else tried 22 lands instead of the usual 23? Might make getting to 4 mana tougher, but the extra slot could come in handy.

Gonna sleeve up Gerry's list for FNM tomorrow, subbing Chandras for skysovereigns in the side since I don't have any . Haven't played at my LGS in a while, all I know is it's mainly aggro and GB delirium/aggro. Any last minute changes I should make?

No specific deck, but whenever I bring one of my competitive modern decks to the table I always hear a bunch of groans Grin

Some number of thoughtcast might be good if you're expecting a lot of jund/abzan.

So how would you SB against Infect for example. I would bring in Chalice, Stubborn and Ghirapur from the SB, but I don't know what to take out?

Against Jund/Abzan I read that I could take out Signal Pests, is this correct?

What is generally the first card you would cut? Signal Pest? Memnite? I guess no mana accelerators. As for Etched Champion the switch between 2-4 is easy I think, Master just comes out if needed. But for the rest of the SB cards I don't know what to cut at all, what would you do?

Signal Pest, Memnite, and an Overseer are usually the first cuts I'd make in most matchups. But I'd keep overseer in against any heavily combat-centric matchup.

Okay, thanks for the reply, that seems reasonable. What you cut while being up against removal heavy MUs like Jund? Would you cut more Overseers?

Haven't played against jund in a while, but I'll usually cut master of etheriums for Etched Champs and cut an overseer to bring in a spellskite. Etched Champion and ravager do work in the matchup.

I went top 4 in a PPTQ (44 people) this saturday with 4x Thoughtcast main. Played a slightly different list with 2x Welding Jar main.

Thoughtcast rocks!! Targeted removal does nothing against CA combined with speed!!

The look on an opponent's face after a T1 thoughtcast? Priceless.....

CA? Can you post your list to us?

CA is a common abbreviation for "card advantage."
