Oh well...ive had 0 problems beating RG so im not too worried about the matchup.
We can deal with all their threats just as fast as they can put them out.
    At least i can...

This surprises me as well. I'm like 30 - 40% against RG, so I must be doing something wrong. The last game I played went like this:

    Turn 1: Forest, Elvish Mystic
Turn 2: Mountain, Burning Tree, Caryatid
Turn 3: Shrine to Nyx, Polukranos
Turn 4: Forest. Tap two forest and nykthos floating 6 green. Monsterous Polukranos for 2 killing two of my mana dorks. Second main scavenging ooze.
Turn 5: Tap two forest and nykthos floating 7. He uses 4 of this to clean out the fatties from my graveyard with ooze.

I scoop a couple of turns later after he's dropped a Nylea and a Garruk.

This may seem like an extreme example, but in my experience RG has starts similar to this with decent consistency. The point is that I usually feel like I am one or two turns behind the RG deck. The only time I win is when I get a nut draw, or he gets a poor draw.

Wasn't sure if I should post here or in the W/x Heroic thread, but I guess it doesn't really matter. I'm running a Boros list currently and have a great record; just won my 5th 8-man in a row since finishing my build 2 days ago.

    My list atm:

The deck is incredibly explosive, with a surprising amount of mid-game potential with all the scry packed in. I was originally running W/U, with Battlewise Hoplite (a great card in heroic), Mizzium Skins and more value from Brave the Elements. However I changed it to W/R for better mana and more ways to just "get there", as opposed to more tempo cards.

For others looking to run a Heroic deck, I can't stress how important it is to run a large amount of 1-drops, a low land count and ZERO 3-drops. This deck wants to kill a quickly as possible, as efficiently as possible. This also means playing around wraths, removal etc. (even with Gods Willing). the problem I've found with cards above 2cmc is that not only do we not WANT to draw 3 lands until turn 5, maybe 6 or so (if we ever even need to), but we'd also want to play our 3 cmc heroic creatures as 4-drops most of the time anyway, to capitalize on their abilities as well as protect them. I've also tested with B/W heroic, with Boon of Erebos, Thoughtseize, Orzhov Charm, and Agent of the Fates...and Agent, at least, simple does not work.

With that said, so far there aren't many changes I would make to my Boros list. The 1-drop slot is fixed as far as creatures go imo (the hawks/familiars are there just for their evasion, and running a higher creature count than my original 16 makes my opponent's TS less back breaking on t1). The Dragon Mantles, amusingly, do literally everything I want from a card; they cantrip for 1 mana, the pump Etheral Armor for 1 mana, the trigger Heroic for 1 mana, AND provide a damage boost with Firebreathing that doesn't force me to overextend. I'm still not sure if I want 4 or not, I'll probably end up cutting 1 for a 4th Madcap Skill in the main, but for now it's been working fine.

Another funny card I'm running is Hopeful Eidolon, but this card is a HOUSE. Since I'm running Ethereal Armor, the fact that Eidolon himself is an enchantment is key. It mean that t1 Eidolon, t2 Ethereal armor (if you're fighting aggro, otherwise you'd want to start with a different 1-drop) gives you a 3/3 first strike lifelinker immediately. Even just playing him when you have another creature with Ethereal Armor gives a damage boost! And of course, he bestows for 4 mana (the cheapest bestow cost), pumping Armor, granting lifelink, and triggering Heroic. I highly recommend playing both him and Ethereal Armor in any W/x version.

My SB is still a work in progress, but I know I'm keeping the Skullcracks and the Pacifisms at the very least. Pretty much everything else there could be changed.

Hopefully this deck list inspires some people; let me know what you think!

Hmm...this is an interesting take on heroic. Have you considered legion loyalist for the trample?

It seems like this deck would have a hard time against the B/x midrange decks. I ran some games against B/w devotion and it really struggled. Skullcrack coming out of the board did help a little, though.

I'm running this list right now. So far, I've done pretty swell. Control match up is way better postboard.

Even with the Ashen Rider and the Sylvan, I was having problems dealing with D-Sphere and Elspeth so I board in the Glares.

3 Obzedat's Aid and 3 Whips have been working wonders for me. I feel like I can be a bit greedier with my Salvage's(casting it without a whip in hand or on board) because I run three.

Just curious, what do you board out for glare?

Giant adephage is not a guarantee to get you a token therefore he doesnt make the cut.

Ive never had a problem hard casting things when i need to. You just have to learn to pull lands from your salvages in the proper matchups

I am now running angel of serenity in the main bc it is very creature heavy down here now

Jarad is only for control and he is awesome and i dont want 2. 1 is enough

Nemesis is a very vanilla mana investment, summoner is cute and i though about it but meh...not really anything id want to cut for them. Rot farm could maybe be a 1 of now that tragic slip is gone, but i would be worried about milling away things unless i have a whip out already

3 whips is just fine. If i added anything it would be 1 obzedats aid.

What are you boarding out when you bring in:

    1) Sin collector
    2) Unflinching Courage
    3) Underworld Connections

I'm guessing sin collector and underworld connections are for control, unflinching is for RDW, is that correct?

Also, is it better to run 8 mana dorks or 4?

Here are some of the prices I got on various decks using TCG Player's mass product entry and cart optimizer (including shipping):

    Red Deck Wins: $16
    URW Control: $25
    Assault From the Grave: $22
    Flash of the Blade: $22
    Ragin' Cajun Cows: $22

So shipping and price variance clearly makes a large difference.

However, if you can find some people or a shop in your area who has all of the cards you need and is willing to sell TCG low (as Shinbatsu mentioned), then you'd be all set.

By, the way, I really appreciate people taking the time to post their deck-lists on here. These are really high-quality decks given the prices!

Not trying to burst any bubbles, but I just wanted to point out that some these decks (the ones I looked at) are actually going to run you between $20 - $30 if you purchase the cards online (TCG Player). Obviously, they'll cost less if you already own some of the cards. $20 - $30 still a good price for a somewhat competitive deck, but it is definitely more than $10.

EDIT: I didn't see the "timestamp" clause in the "restrictions" section of the rules before I posted this.
