Azrael posted a message on The Gloves Are Coming OffA relatively mild example of one of Rianalnn's inappropriate conversations with subordinates:Posted in: Community Discussion
Quote from rianalnnI'm sure N_S returning & the thread catching on fire again was just coincidence
Quote from TaloreJust like the Gutter being closed after viperesque was made an admin was a coincidence -_- I don't appreciate that
Quote from rianalnn06-07-2012 - viper is made an admin
06-21-2012 - viper makes closure thread in CI
07-17-2012 - N_S comes off suspension, CI thread explodes
Not seeing your point, unless it is to agree that N_S pisses people off
Quote from rianalnndeliberately or otherwise, not making a call there.
Up to this point, if anyone is probably being slightly impolite, it's probably Talore. But the tone changes abruptly here:
Quote from TaloreStop this, please
Quote from rianalnnStop what?
Quote from TaloreJust drop this whole conversation
At this point, it should be evident to a person with a minimum level of empathy that it's not doing any good to continue talking. That feelings have been hurt, and that it's time to back off, and allow Talore some space to cool off.
Instead:
Quote from rianalnnWhat is so hard about *you* dropping it? Why does it always have to be the other guy who is wrong & needs to shut up? How typical.
We have this. Which sounds as petulant as though it could have been written by someone the age of one of Rian's children.
Quote from rianalnnI made a jokey post & you used it as a platform to attack viper, now I need to shut up?
ooooookaaaaaaaaaaaay
And Rian still isn't finished - ignoring Talore's request to drop the topic, he continues to harp and bicker on the subject - he's unable to simply let it go with dignity.
Quote from rianalnnbut *I* need to stop. w/e, Talore.
Apparently two dismissive posts after being asked to drop the topic wasn't sufficient - he needed to post a third time, in a manner that is completely unprofessional for the supposed leader of this site speaking to one of his peers.

DTrain posted a message on [AVR] Running Tally of Highest Priced Cards: Updated 10/28Posted in: Market Street CaféQuote from Midnight BrewerThe exception to this rule of course bein
g lingering souls which is five to six times its non foil counterpart. Also promo foils like ancient grudge which is sixteen times the normal price of fifty cents.just to point out, the original grim lavamancer is twice the newer price.oh and foil full art lands at ten times more dont even get me started...
You basically just proved exactly what Rancored_Elf said. All the cards you listed are highly played, which means the foil versions will be worth many times more than the regular. The cards he was talking about when ge said 1.5x are all the random cards that never see significant play in competetive formats. For an even more extreme example of cards like the ones you listed, see foil Swords to Plowshares or Brainstorm. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
