As an Izzet, these are the commons I was looking for.

    ::edit::

Nice find! How cool, just like how Rot Farm Skeleton is the guy killed in Putrefy.

good card is good. Pillar of flame/unsummon some blockers away, then swing for 4-7? yeah seems terrible... Why so many haters on sally these days?

Funny thing is the fact that this guy and teleportal = ouchies. Infact, dyna charge his ass in the same turn and thats 10 to the face, unblockable. Doable by turn 4 too.

I'm digging the "Big Daddy" machine man look. Kiln Fiend gets a buddy! Good card.

Mr.Bubbles does indeed look fierce. Side note, first Izzet mage whom calls me "little fish" in getting a wrench upside the head.

I dig both these cards. The enchant is big, but it mills 10 before it comes in,and then every turn you get a free creature or returned spell. That is card advantage, no matter if it's random.

    Weird for a Mythic.

I can *definitely* see the use, though-
Boros can pretty much laugh at board wipes now-
even Terminus and Merciless Eviction whiff at this.

They said enchants were useless....unreliable. But when god cracked open the sky and wept burning judgement apon us all, we were the ones who lived. Not the unhallowed dead. Not the "all knowing" mages. But we, a small battalion of mortal soldiers. God's Wrath is now our boon. - Anonymous Boros Soldier

Soooo the 3 guilds we haven't seen the mythics for are Golgari, Dimir, and Orzhov? Let's hope they are as decent as the ones for the other guilds. Gotta say, lame ass rehash rocks aside, I love me some RTR block.

This is cute and fun, but is just not needed for competitive play. If you need a 3rd combat step to win with Aurelia and your other creatures, you really should be changing decks.

Dude....there is no kill like over kill.

WoodWraith - the card states you exile the enchantment, not sacrifice. Which if i'm reading correctly means both it and the creatures it exiled get to return to the battlefield. I think this is why the card is mythic.

Yeah dude above this is right, its a one time deal. Card is mythic because pump+antiwrath. Didnt see that it has to be exiled to do though, not really worse then sacing, just means no recurring it.

It's a two drop anthem that can be saced to evade a board wipe, which can also clock a late win in a deck with ETB effects. The name of the card reflects the flavor, being that the Boros predicted the attack, hid, then rush out in ambush. It's a good card, bolsters your army as well as being a strong utility/combo card.

I dont understand the magic community...it's like there are a select 400 plus fans who do nothing but trash down cards biasly and insult players with originality. This is a card game....can we dial back the seriousness a wee bit and remember that this is recreational?

He asked me if I am ever right about anything. As it turns out, I am quite good at "guessing metagames", as you call it and know how to evaluate cards.

I havent paid for a deck for 2 years thanks to an investment, didnt know that made me a metagame expert. Cards get underestimated by board spikes all the time, doesnt make you an expert, you just have common sense. Which I applaud, it's in short supply here.

I don't get sanctification from complaining about mythic rares like this one, their existence annoys me and I know Wizards reads this forum. I hope that they understand that a lot of their player base hates their transparent attempts to make more money by hurting their players. As for people who disagree with me, they have allowed Wizards to get away with this bait and switch, that is why I "flame" them by addressing their arguments.

....Seriously? Everyone with a differing opinion then your own this issue is to blame and deserves to be flamed? Ok, I'm gunna say one thing befor I rebuttle: I hate mythics and walkers. That said, grow up man. You sound like a whining kid who feels insecure so he bullies ppl. Im so sure these random posters are the reason mythics exist.

And if you are so displeased, boycott the damn game! Either way, stop taking things out on players just because they like mythics. You sound like a Timmy whining about control players man.

2 drop anthem that can sac to make your entire field go ghost council. Why are ppl raving about this at mythic?

From now on, I shall call this spell "Argus Dad Athem".

See above for the reason they were included. As for the Signet cycle, the reason they, and similar mana rocks, won't be reprinted is the 2 CMC. Efficient ramp like that is green now. Going from 2 to 4 will not get put on mana rocks that provide colored mana because it cuts into greens design space. It is not that 2 CMC rocks are overpowered, it's just a color pie issue.

Pie or no pie, they could have made each one have a different effect. It's just lazy, even as a common. RTR has become my favorite block because each guild gets something different, then we get these sac draw 3 rocks. Feels like they dont even belong, ya know?

The point is not that they are better you tool, the point is that cards are not bad/unplayable even if there are previous better versions of it.

R&D has stated the signets were a mistake, and rightfully so.

The mistake of the Signet cycle was that it turned 1 mana of any color into two colors, which meant you could play off color cards without so much as a splash, the 2 cmc wasnt the issue. And more to the point,10 DGM spaces are occupied by mana rock rehash, and for what? Limited? When your gunna be drafting RTR and GTC along side it? And guildgates are at common?

Dont get me wrong, still psyched for DGM, just wish they would have used the space for something besides fixing, which we have out the wazzo.

Man, I hope the new rocks at least have varied sac effects. Like ones a cantrip, another is giant growth, another is disentomb, etc. Otherwise they are gunna feel over costed at 3 and boring compared to the keys.
