Anyways, I disagree with it being on the level of bolt... bolt can be run in almost any deck, while rancor is limited to decks with a large amount of creatures.
In other words, bolt is a multi-format all star, while rancor is a decent card in certain archtypes of certain formats.

No it's a common in every printing. And no it's not on the level of Bolt in versatility, but it's a notable card from the past with a notably higher power level than most cards like it.
Reminder: Arc Blade is a 5 mana sorcery, we also need 9 mana. And this all has to happen on or before turn 5 to keep pace with other modern decks.
Arc Blade suspends for 2R. It allows an earlier suspend so as to finish after you've used Worldfire. It's actually LESS mana intensive than using Rift Bolt because you spread the cost out.
This seems wonderful, and I'm a big fan of what I see you put out Gaka, though I have some questions as well. Why the split between regular basics and Snow? What does Phyrexian Metamorph come out of the board against? Why the third Trinket Mage in the board? How does Vedalken Shackles fare when you board it in? What do you board it in against? I agree with Blitz Reloaded that Noxious Revival seems like it gives you the capacity for better Gifts piles and allows you to correct any mistakes that you may make AND it allows for an additional recursion of your important setup spells(Another use out of Gifts, etc), why do you think it doesn't do enough?

Isn't that the idea? A power common every core set? Lightning Bolt, then Mana Leak, now Rancor?

Arc Blade, Rift Bolt, or any creature with Suspend should do it.

I've still gotta run through my lists and see what seems good. Also get a board together for whatever I decide to play...
