Grab Death's shadow pieces if you want them. The deck is having a great showing at GP Vancouver.

Desolater magic does have a tendency to get worked up in his videos but his points usually have some merit, it's that people can't get over their hatred for same random guy on the internet who has no impact on them. Don't watch his videos if you don't like him, you don't need to badmouth every single person you don't agree with. It also really makes your argument seem irrelevant if you can't in any way counter what their saying so you instead call them names.

Moving back to the topic of WPN stores and Modern Masters I read the link @joban8 posted and I thought it was interesting the way they worded it compared to Plancechase Anthology when it comes to ordering cards. I realize they just have not posted quantities that will be available to different levels possibly including non-wpn.
However when I was doing some reading on MM2017 I saw that the page specifically mentions "New art on a number of cards." Looking back at MM15 there were hardly any new art cards (I counted two in the first 5 pages of tcg) and although two is a number, I feel like there will be a lot more new art cards. I feel like we can expect new art on Liliana if she is the chase car. Knowing how people love original copies, I can't see lily going much unless we get an eternal masters level of shaft from wizards. Would it be reasonable to pick up normal art versions now in the expectation that they will go up/hold value in the case of a new art reprint?

Why would wizards announce not hosting modern events BEFORE Modern Masters 2017? That was an incredibly stupid business move as far as I can figure because I am sure that is part of the factor to the low MM17 box prices.

    Pile A

    Bloodstained Mire KoT x2
    Sunken Hollow
    Canopy Vista
    Wooded Foothills
    Eldrazi displacer

    Pile B
    Cryptic Command MM2015
    Vendilion Clique MM
    4x Serum Visions

which Pile is better long term?

Depends on what goes on with the formats and MM2017. It is unlikely anything at all on either side will be in MM17 but I think there is a small chance Crypic and vendillon clique could be reprinted. Blue has been struggling in modern for awhile now, and if none of the cards in pile B get reprinted and blue ever gets better Pile B will go up. However if modern starts struggling in popularity and Frontier takes off Pile A will probably go up because of the Fetchs/Fetchable lands being in demand. It feels like a horse a piece, however I think pile B has a small edge. It really comes down to which format do you see yourself playing more of in the future?

Realistically modern cards won't plummet, If people start panic selling the prices go down. Considering one of the biggest deterrents to modern is the price, people will pick them up. There will always be a community who plays, even if it fades away it will have a player base. I have no intention of selling my modern decks because I enjoy playing them. If jund pieces start dropping like crazy I would gladly pick them up, I think jund would be a fun deck to play, it's just expensive to justify for me.

As for MTGO I think @colt47 nailed it. MTGO will be a place where vintage and modern will live on forever. Conisdering my last statement that there will always be people playing I think MTGO is incredibly safe, because if you can't find a tournament to play modern in your area you might sell your paper copies, but there will almost always be somebody online also looking to play that format. The cards are incredibly cheap and it's a decent platform to play on.

I am really thinking that Modern Masters 2017 is going to have some really good value. Like I mentioned early wizards is cutting it's ties with modern, so I can't imagine they continue with Modern Masters, assuming this is true they have no reason to not dump all of the value cards from modern (that don't see enough play in other formats to warrant their price) into Modern Masters 2017 to try and get everything they can out of the format before they leave it.

Personally I have nothing I am looking to get from MM17 as I usually play fringe decks anyway. In the past modern was more optimistic than it was now, will this have an effect on the prices going back up considering wizards is cutting its ties with the format? Growth for the format will be hindered with an overall less willingness to invest in it. I don't have an opinion either way I am just playing devil's advocate because I am curious.

So considering wizards seems to be taking a poop on modern, what are the odds they cash grab this MM17 and then starting printing modern stuff in eternal masters. IE putting the power level of this set at MM13 to get as much out of the format before suffocating it.

What do you think about Indomitable Creativity as an additional method to cheat out Emrakul ?
This is a neat idea. Could also act as a bad removal spell if we need it. Also could really be good with multiple win-con creatures. The not-cast hurts a tad but it's a turn faster so why not.

I've been trying to make straight BG Vine work for a while. And we do have better tools now than when I first started forcing the archetype (back when DRS was modern legal) but I still don't know how much potential there is. Here's my current list

The problem is without red, the explosive starts are taken away. Faithless Looting is easily one of the best cards ever printed. Even if Budget is a concern, a playset of Copperline Gorge and a pair of Blood Crypts aren't going to break the bank and it would be well worth it.

That being said, I love my rock vine list. It's been a pet deck of mine forever. I'm waiting for it be viable or at least well-positioned in a meta so I can take a tournament by surprise.

sorry for not replying sooner but I finally got to sit down and browse lists today. Your deck sees viable with some changes to it.
Here is the changes I am thinking:
    -4 Sinister concoction
+4 Fatal push or Murderous cut
Concotion's first ability feels really clunky. I have said this a million times(not talking down just reiterating it's importance) that mana intensive abilities are not good for our deck, we want to be cycling our deck as fast as possible or casting creatures to get vengevine. I realize your deck is only B/G but it feels even worse here considering you aren't going with the all out dredge option. The life loss also feels bad but it's minimal.

    -4 Commune with the gods
    +4 Grisly salvage
Grisly salvage has been one of our best enablers. The only reason I don't play it because Cathartic reunion is strictly better with dredgers.

    -2 Vengeful Pharoah
    -2 Gurmag Angler
    +4 Birds of Paradise
I really like both vengeful pharaoh and gurmag angler. Pharaoh is removal at the expense of your life, it is also really dead almost anywhere besides your graveyard. Even in your graveyard he hinders you from effectively using tasigur and is not an ideal card to exile. Angler is good but your deck is really heavy and I think in your BG style of control build I think tasigur is better. The birds will allow you to get your big stuff out faster and is an easy pick to exile when casting delve spells.

I find it hard to chose between IOK and thoughtseize. I guess it comes down to what you intened to use it for really. Iok is great at getting rid of your opponents graveyard hate considering almost all sideboard hate cards people play are three or less. Thoughseize is more for a proactive approach against combo decks like scapeshift or coco and can cover the same areas as IOK but you're also taking two damage. It also can let you preemptively take out stuff that we can't deal with on the board (considering darkblast and decay only hit small stuff) I find thoughtseize to be more universally useful, especially if you have decay but I guess it comes down to your preferences/meta.

emrakul gets protection from coloured spells, when nighthawk is on the battlefield he doesnt get protection from coloured creatures...
    Ha! I never noticed that.

I am playing control not straight combo. I don't combo until t5+ and I just hardcore control the board until I can combo. Really most things in modern can't block an emrakul though. Nighthawk is colored and nothing colored can block emrakul. I don't think curse is necessary. If you play emrakul, you will win either the turn he comes out or the turn after that.

Yaaaay activity on the forum. I just pulled this deck out and was playtesting last weekend.
First, Oblivion ring is able to exile Emrakul. I don't know exactly how it works but it's something to do with when the enchantment enters the ability goes on the stack, since the ability is colorless it can target emrakul. There was one player who always would use this when he used to play me casually. That being said, almost nobody plays Oblivion ring, and these etb effects are on permanents, which can only be cast in the main phase. Normally you should be able to kill them on your extra turn from ermakul.
As for trinket mage it should let you cycle all the way to emrakul, right? You hit one after casting your zero cost creature, and then you just pick your creature back out and do it again until you hit Emrakul. That being said I don't know what purpose it would serve besides this. It feels like wasted space in the deck because if you cast it after possibility storm you run this risk of hitting your artifact and slowing yourself down significantly. I like tolaria west because you can still use it to tutor after storm because it's not casting a spell. However in your build I can see why you would use trinket mage. Your build seems to be more ramp as opposed to control, which would mean you want to get the artifact before casting storm, and trinket mage is strictly better than tolaria west before storm is out.

Curse of exhaustion is good with storm, but it feels hit or miss. You can't cast it the same turn as storm, which slows the combo down a turn. Also your decklist has a lot of focus on getting emrakul out, which is good but it feels like Curse is kind of win-more at that point.

Zoetic cavern also feels out of place for this reason, you have a playset of trinket mages which would clog up any effort to play zoetic cavern for an emrakul. Zoetic cavern would be better in a control style deck, acting as a backup if your opponent somehow gets rid of your artifact.

I think your sideboard looks really good with a wide variety of answers.

I have wanting to try two cards for our deck, the first being Mirror Mockery which could act as a kill spell against most aggro decks, and even better if the creature has ETB effects. The other being Threads of disloyatlty as it can slow down aggro decks by 1. Giving us a blocker 2. Taking their attacker. Both are only two mana enchanments so it's not like we're putting in high mana cost cards.

Title is pretty self-explanatory, I am looking for the best tribal cards in magic. I am planning on using the shapeshifter cards from the lorwyn block to try and brew something fun. So which cards have the cheapest lord affects, most tribal abilities, and best tribal based effects?

I wouldn't say damnation is likely. It's been a flat line forever and they seem to intentionally be avoiding it. I also highly doubt we'll see doubling season as it sees almost no play in modern. It would have been much more of a fit got eternal masters. I certainly hope they don't emphasize rtr as there really is nothing outside of voice or decay that has any value, yeah I could see them picking voice and decay but that's two cards not a theme. The Innistrad block could easily be a theme with the value cards and then they would just have to fill in with some other high slur modern cards.
