I've been playing with a Seance deck that is an absolute blast. Most of it will remain legal after rotation as well... but will need another whipflare/pyroclasm or something similar to keep it realistic, I think.
Just did a little sealed event with four of my friends and I the other night. We played with 2 boosters of each of IN, DA, and AR and just did a quick round robin format and then mythic/rare drafted afterward. My deck went 4-0 and never dropped a game - but with what I opened, I think it would have been pretty poor on my part had that not been the case. Looking for some thoughts on things that could have been done to fine tune this, things I could have run main deck, etc.
My main points of pain were leaving out Harrowing Journey as the deck felt too slow and I was normally working to stabilize the board prior to letting some of my bombs take over the game.
I also really wanted to work Kessig Malcontents into the mix but decided against it to keep the manabase stable.
So, ever trying to learn and get better, and not sold that results always tell the complete story of how well something was executed, I ask you all - what would you have done differently?
I think I would have been tempted into white with Goldnight Commander, [CARD]Silverblade Paladin
[/CARD] some decent evasion, and Cloudshift
That being said, with Green as your secondary color I think you had some options to run over the Gambit, and Guardian. I can't think of a time where I've been happy to run an Unholy Strength, and Guardian is a wall that doesn't do enough for you.
Right, but I think it's pretty decent against most non-delver, non-infect matchups... at least from my experience.
Is it really that bad? I feel like a 1 W wrath that doesn't hit the graveyard is pretty solid.
And here was the rest of the card pool:
Man, I wanted a Goldnight Commander in this group!

I believe I would have opted for Joint Assault as a decent trick, and Scroll of Avacyn.
