You say you are playing cobra ? I always feel I'd rather play a threat on turn 2 rather than develop my mana.
What do you feel could get the axe to make room for Anguished Unmaking ? I'm thinking either Beast Within or Night's whisper (which I use as a filler - always going in and out of my list).
mana wise, putting in a 3cmc should take another 3cmc slot, too much 3cmc hinders the tempo...
imo, i would never remove that beast within, the beast is almost irrelevant, the disruption you can gain is worth it.
I was only testing cobra becoz of tks will definitely remove it again haha
Gonna try the Tireless Tracker in my Deck.
Atm testing with Thalia's Lieutenant aswell. It looks quite good for now.
the tracker seems powerful! please tell us your results
lieutenant seems meh relies too much on other cards imo
hello "longtime" ana player here... early hand disruption, mana disruption and not commiting your board helps against control... card draw engines help a lot too!
wow, no problems with counter decks? imo it's still a good land to run
anyway, another top 8 yesterday, only 20+ players though, lost only to narset in swiss and quarterfinals had a case of very bad hand and draws against a control player removed Mox for Night's Whisper and Warping Wail for Maelstrom Pulse.
might bring the mox back and change cobra into the 40th land though. Pulse is fine, I mainly put it in for titania hahaha
Siege Rhino: in my xp, this is just too slow and offers no real disruption, put Thrun instead to beat those control faces
Ob walker: imo Dark Tutelage is better in this slot, or Hero's Downfall
Steelshaper: SFM seems enough :)So maybe Winter Orb in its place
Lightning Greaves: Sure we want to protect Ana, but imo it's really not worth it, maybe Beast Within in this slot?
Grave Titan: I'd use Sun Titan first before this one, but 6 mana is just too much for the deck
Living Death: better if you have Survival or Fauna, but then mass reanimation wont be your plan... unless you make this work
Liliana Vess: Too costly in this deck for what it does
have you tried Oona's Blackguard, Brain Maggot and Mesmeric Fiend? And Night's Whisper is good too
it's better to have cheap-things-that-disrupt to cast in this deck at any point of the game so skipping on 5 mana spells is nice unless you want to play midrange and that would be a diff story.
IMO you should prioritize the ff:
Tainted Pact (becoz it leads to winning), Gaddock Teeg (control hates it), Linvala (anti creatures deck), Deluge (more anti creatures deck)
and Catac is just OP so put it in the deck unless you're playing against a lot of Titania
I know Clamp is one of the best draws in this game, but in this deck you need to disrupt the opponent and bash face with your critters, you want to protect them more and not wish to see them off the board, because combat damage is the deck's wincon... even agaisnt control, I'd rather see Arena, Library or Tutelage or even Sofai than Clamp.
For me, Eladamri's and Intent deserves separate slots... you cannot get your Deluge or Geddon or catac with the Call
Eladamri's has been on and off on my list, depending on the meta... if there's a crucial silver bullet critter to combat the current meta it goes in
Council's Judgment, is one of the best removals we have, it 'kills' untouchable things ith hexproof So it's not that slot.
I've only changed 2 things on the OP list:
Scryb Ranger out for Lotus Cobra, and Skullclamp out for TKS.
the scryb slot is always my flexi slot hehe... and again I'm moving away from Clamp, it's just not for me haha! It's still counter intuitive to kill your critters or wish for them to kill it for you to draw cards, and it never works with Ana becoz you will 'never' put her in the yard, before deciding on TKS on that slot, I was putting Diabolic Intent back.
@asimov - yep, a lot of the players who consistently put Tasi to good use are on hiatus right now... and lately, good pilot+tasi is a very hard mu becoz lists have finally settled on anti green builds hahaha. And yep, it's never good to deny mana in Tasi, it will almost never work
@konko - haven't used hased critters yet, since as I think I've never used one since using Doran.
It's raining Perishes and Hibernations, but those wont deter me
next tourney for me wil be April 10... idk if that's the date of the new bannings, but I think nothing will get banned in my list so we're still a go!
in my xp: kill marath, kill the dorks, destroy all lands... it's just the same play against all dork-ramp builds... marath is 50/50 unless you get to stick a linvala early and protect it sorry for asking this, but why the mirran crusader?
anyway, another top 8 for me last sunday, 48 players, but lost to jenara 3 games in the qf
Right now guys playing mana denial in anafenza is a bad strategy.
You should focus only on discard, removal and treats.
can you expound on this? mana denial is a good strategy against most control decks and other three color decks, and it is supposed to be just ONE angle of attack.

@asimov - how's SOBAM?

how's Natuko Monastery?
anyway, uw decks might make a comeback specially gst.
since necro ooze is still not banned it might see more play
titiania still remains though
what bothers me is the colored mana production so idk if TKS is still good in the list...

and you really should get Gaddock, it will help a LOT!

Meta here is mostly still aggro so tutelage is currently of my list, if majoriy is control or combo it always comes back.
For me, Eladamri's and Intent deserves separate slots... you cannot get your Deluge or Geddon or catac with the Call
