Yeah I live in louisiana and the humidity here makes them curl literally as soon as it comes out the booster, take some elmers glue rub it on your finger a little then apply it to the corners and place the card in a heavy book for a couple days, should prevent wrinkles as it dries

The point I was trying to make is they have abandoned the story telling aspect of magic and that was what made the game so enveloping. Without story they're just cards, legends m mean nothing if you don't know what made them legendary

Anyone else bummed that they don't post it anymore on mtg website? to me the game is kinda just a game wiyhout the story and wizards is doing a poor job with the story. Innistrad was awesome until AVR came out, I don't even know what really happened with liliana and garruk and the fight between lilliana and griselbrand was over in 2 sentences. The flavor is what makes the cards come to life. Without it I might as well be collecting the next 1000 pokemon that come out, even tho they're new they're meaningless, just another stupid creature

I would like to see emrakul aeons torn unbanned for use as a general, having a colorless deck easily outweighs his strengths.

I got a foil sorin, loi havengul lich and ravenous demon in the same pack from walmart. I've also pulled thrun the last troll, sun and primeval titan, olivia voldaren, phantasmal image and many more from walmart. I even bought the tiny packs, sometime a rare in them, sometimes not. Like buying packs of any kind from anywhere its luck of the draw

Verdant force is killer, 7/7 body and you get a chump blocker on everyones turn. If left unchecked he can get crazy fast, especially with parallel lives or doubling season in play

    Quote from Tollas
I don't think it's so much teaching them the value of possessions as it is teaching them to care for what they have. Kids toys are made to be somewhat durable and survive a child throwing it around, smashing it into other toys, covered in water, etc. Conversely, Magic cards are delicate and require careful handling and storage.

I learned this at a young age with baseball cards. I still have those cards. I also have old GI Joe and Star Wars toys with all their accessories. It taught me to care for my toys and appreciate what I had instead of just asking my parents to get me new stuff when I broke the old stuff.

I said that wrong, not the value of their possessions but to teach them to value their possessions. But yeah I agree with what you say 100 percent.

Grimgrin is not a tribal specific general, he plays great in combo/control. If you don't wanna go zombie he still is a huge threat, he can become very large very quickly and deal 21 damage with ease, especially since he can take out their biggest threat and get bigger before he deals his damage. I have three edh decks and my grimgrin is by far my favorite

I think its great for kids, and spending their money on it is bad as compared to spending it on other toys that they play with, break and throw away? I think on top of the brain skills magic teaches it also teaches them the value if their possessions and to appreciate them. The card is worth nothing if its crumpled and frayed but if they take care of it when they're done playing with it they can get money back for it. And spending money on something that you enjoy is something we all do. Those little pieces of cardboard are worthless until you put human experience into it, you get the memories and learning experience from it. And that to me is priceless. My daughter is 3 and I fully plan to introduce the game I love to her when she turns five so that we can enjoy it together.

Rooftop in my zombie tribal is a must, especially with cards that let you draw cards, and then theres rt storm + gravecrawler + grimgrin + diregraf captain/vengeful dead for infinite damage, instant win.

I'd really like to have one with grimgrin and undead alchemist, maybe a couple other zombies and have it say humans are mortal, the horde is eternal. Pls and thanks

Thanks to everyone for your input. Does anyone know where to get the older cards from? Online maybe? I have a card shop in my area but they mostly carry the newer sets
