Didn't got time to try it much but what do you think ?
I know that's not really mono black but ...
I really, really like your version of the deck. I think that even if you just had blood moon, it would be worth it to splash red, but obviously there are other cards that make the cut in a splash as well.
Looking to put a version of this deck together -- how do we feel about Bob in this deck?
The problem I see with Bob is that he's best fit into a more aggressive strategy like Junk/Jund. In this deck, which is more of a control shell, you really don't want all the life loss from bob when youre running say, Tasigur, Cryptic Command, Zur or Supreme Verdict. Hence, you don't see him in Grixis control either.
That seems like a reasonable explanation to me. Do you find yourself missing out on have some sort of draw? Looking at the deck, it seems like it could benefit from that -- once again, I haven't played it so I couldn't say.
There is deck called 8Rack which is mono black (there is BR version too) discard deck. It aims to discard cards from your hand and then win with cards The Rack and Shrieking Affliction. I think this would fit you the best.
Thanks! I found the primer and that's definitely a good suggestion, and what's more it was a good portal to similar decks linked in the original thread (e.g. Dead Guy Ale, MBC, Pox variants). I have something to chew on now...
Hi Folks, so I've been playing Legacy for about 10 years but now I'm looking to get into Modern. The decks that I most enjoyed playing in Legacy were SuiBlack (and certain variants, such as Pox or various splashes) and the now defunct SuperGro. So what I'm primarily looking for is a modern deck/archetype that is tempo/disruption oriented. I would prefer something that is primarily black, but that isn't 100% necessary. It's also not necessary for the deck to be Tier 1 or Tier 2, anything will do.
Hey, I'm pretty new to these forums so this is the first time I'm seeing this deck. I proxied it up and it plays really nicely. I'm quite impressed!
As of now I don't have anything negative to say about the deck. My one question is: do you think it could possibly benefit from some equipment? I understand that Kamahl and Avenger are the win cons in general, but would a couple of swords perhaps be warranted?
I have no idea, I was just throwing it out there.
Once again though, good work. This list is not getting the attention that it deserves.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

I would replace Kamahl with Garruk. Not only do you get the trample ability, but you also get the potential for some nice mana generation and tokens.
Liliana of the Veil is even more amazing. In a good sized multiplayer game you could be generating significant tokens.
