I really do wonder how long Wizards can keep phoning it in before low sales demand a change. This set is better for sure, but it's still incredibly boring which is worse than being underpowered in my opinion. At least Warping Wail is cool.
Only the magic community would get mad at Wizards for being protective of it's new unreleased product.
Go eat sand you maroon.
What? Your statement was at least as vague and/or wrong as mine. Grow up.
You're defending a company. Why? What leads you to defend an entity designed almost solely to make money no matter how dumb they act? Quit being a fanboy and stop accepting these terrible products they keep churning out.
But that's the whole point... it ISN'T an uncontroversial synopsis. There is a steaming heap of controversy surrounding this set. The only thing we an agree on is that we don't agree. And I'm starting to get really peeved at everyone stating "the one thing we can all agree on is this set sucks" when nothing could be further from the truth (about us all agreeing, that is). Haters of the set claim that anyone defending it in any shape or form "likes playing with bad cards", like they are the authority on what "good" is. If you guys want to say there are no Standard playables, or Modern playables or blah blah blah, fine. Time will prove you wrong when some card everyone ***** on gets paired with some other card and some pro wins something. Or when support pieces come next set. Or whatever. I dont really give a ***** because I could give a rat's ass about Standard. Standard can effin blow me. But just because you didn't get any new toys (or you all are just too daft to reconize them) doesn't make the set a failure or the "worst set ever". And I'm not even saying the set is awesome or spectacular or anything, but it certainly isn't the *****pile some of you are trying to make it out to be. It's not for you. Fine. It's not for your deck or your format. Fine. But it is for some people. Just shut he **** up already about how bad the set is. It's not perfect, but all these claims that the set has no redeeming qualities is just utter bull*****.

Why are you so mad that this set is bad?
I have reported you for baiting.
Wow, I'm devastated. Maybe if I whine more like you I'll get my way.
Edit: your ridiculous quoting messed up my reply, sorry bud

So Khans of Tarkir has completely turned into Fetchlands of Tarkir, since they've now killed the one last rare that was worth a bit (besides the fetches).
Welcome to the future of Magic design, where every set's value will be in reprints of older cards.
Konami's game is destined for self destruction. The game is disgusting to play, games are over in 1-2 turns 80% of the time, and the product sales are only carried by children who watch the cartoon and casual players. Magic doesn't have the same appeal to kid and has a far healthier long term plan other than "if it's not stronger than the last set don't bother printing it." Everyone I personally know who was into Yugioh has left the game, and while that's far from a sizeable sample pool, I think it speaks for itself that everyone I knew who left had the same concerns. I don't know the data off the top of my head but I wouldn't be surprised if attendance for events and sales have greatly dwindled over the past 3-4 years. The game can't sustain itself for a much longer period of time, they're even unbanning some of the most powerful spells for their version of standard just because to make it even more powerful. Konami is not a brilliant company by any means, these days they get by from gambling machines almost exclusively. All their videogame talent has been fired or has left, and their card game is a sinking ship.

We will NEVER see another Progenitus level card that's not "a mistake". That's just how R&D works these days.
