Where do all of you find room for Ulamog in your 75? Isn't Wurmcoil just better at helping you stabilize? It's not like he's even an amazing Eye target, because you should almost always be going for the Emrakul.
Ulamog, lockless Mindslavers, All Is Dust... Where do you people find room for these in your 60?
I have found that dropping 1 stone for 1 All Is Dust is nice, as it's helped me punch through some things that stone doesn't hit. Also; you can save a Wurmcoil or Karn on your board with it and it's 7 cost lets you cast it turn 3.
Traditionally, I was using Ulamog and 3 Wurmcoils, but I have recently dropped Ulamog and a Relic for 2 Spellskites. Ulamog is nice when you are having trouble getting that last 1-3 mana for Emrakul, but too often he just gets hit by Path and essentially ends up being 11 mana removal.
EDIT: How are people faring with the new American Midrange MU and what do you do to combat it? I have found that it's not too hard for us, but it's not as easy as Jund.
I was thinking that Spellskite in the MB is probably the way to go also, though it depends on what the metagame will look like in the next month. Will there be not enough GY decks to completely cut it, or should we still keep 2 in the main.
It is inspired by Voltron anime series. Voltron - giant robot formed from joining separate vehicles of "Voltron Force" (command that protects the earth)
Everyone knows the Lion Voltron is the best, the car Voltron sucked.
Its referring to Voltron. It was an 80's cartoon with these robot lions that had the ability to assemble themselves together into a stronger robot humanoid called Voltron. The deck is assembling all of the Urza lands together, hence the Urzatron. Tron is simply the shortened version.
Im looking for a deck that hates on Jund Midrange and has a decent match against aggro. I have been happy with Bant control online, but it's just not all that great in my meta.
How do you guys feel about the Jund match? I have been having a little trouble with it, and I just wondered if I was the only one. How does everyone else address it?
I picked Selesnya last night and opened a pack with both a Foil and a regular Jace. I decided to go a heavy Azorious route instead of Selesnya and splashed green for Bant colors. I got completely wrecked, Azorious had creatures, but I got completely out-aggroed by every person running Rakdos/Golgari. I was able to pull off some wins, but the night was a mess. I also felt like the evasion with flying was almost irrevelant. In every match-up I saw a ton of fliers coming from the other Guilds.
I'm about to go back for the next prerelease, which is 2HG. Any suggestions on a pair of colors to play with? I want to stay far, far from Azorius.
I'm thinking BRx/BRx for the both of us. It just seemed so fast and dipping into another color will help even out the curve issues Rakdos originally had.
I've been doing more testing with this deck. It seems really solid, and it stands up to Jund Zombies and Midrange very well. I think we may be on to something here. Anyways, here is the list I've been using:
Armada Wurm is my new favorite card, this guy is a serious bomb. Bonfire of the Damned seems good, but I can't decide if I would rather have that or some, much more precise, spot removal.
I just started doing some play-testing with this deck and man, is it nasty. The only thing I didn't really like is the 1 of Mikeaus, I replaced him with another Mortar and it seems to work just fine. I often find that I have Arbor Elf out, but no forests, how helpful do you find the Township?
Hapless Researcher - Imo, belongs more in a reanimator deck or a deck that interacts with its grave. Not a fan for this deck
Memnarch - Expensive to drop, and a very unfun way to win. If your playgroup is fine with it, then run her, but i find her very unfulfilling to use as a win. Also, shes a hate lightning rod
Actually, other than those 2, i dont have anything bad to say, looks like a solid first version build
EDIT - WELCOME btw, to EDH! Its a very fun format, most people are really chill, and I hope you enjoy it! Sorry i didnt welcome you on the original post time...my brain got all 'must...give...opinion' mode and i never bothered to be friendly, hahaha...blue mages...
Thanks man, yeah I'm looking for something a bit more chill than Standard. EDH does seem like really fun format. I was thinking of taking Memnarch out, but I don't know what I'd replace him with. Most of the time, I have a faster and more efficient win condition anyways.
Hapless Researcher is a nice card sometimes, if I play it early. It's saved me from missing a land drop, that said, he doesn't really do much at all post turn 3ish besides being a 1/1 wizard for 1. I don't know what to replace him with either without taking the curve a little higher.
I'm not new to magic, but I'm pretty new to EDH. It's been a format that I have wanted to jump into for some time now, any thoughts on the decklist I'm going to run with?
Green is the creature color. It is supposed to get better creatures than other colors. That's why green has had Centaur Courser and better for ages, while Black getting a Walking Corpse in Innistrad block was a great step forward and a somewhat tough decision for R&D.
That's a bad comparison there, both meet the curve just as expected. You get a 2/2 for 2cc and a 3/3 for 3cc. They are both as vanilla and standard as you can get.

Isn't Gemstone Mines not legal in Modern? Not because it's banned, but it was just never legal.
Other then that, I really liked Back to Nature, Mindbreak, and Timely in the board. I'm trying out my list with them now.
Everyone knows the Lion Voltron is the best, the car Voltron sucked.
It's one of the more unique deck names imho.

Also; thanks for the very descriptive OP. It really helped a lot in building this deck.

Story is fine, but I agree with the second part. Give us more imformation about your deck.
