posted a message on the death of legacy?
    Quote from kirin
my question, why do non-legacy players even care?

seriously? if you don't play legacy why do you care if it dies?

people playing legacy think it is fine.

    Because of this

posted a message on Why doesn't Wizards of the Coast enforce MSRP?
I don't know what you're talking about. The LGS I go to sells everything at MSRP including Commander's arsenal and FTV sets.

Maybe you should find a better LGS

posted a message on Magic: The Gathering TV Show
If there is to be a magic TV show, I want It to start with the story of 2 Brothers who parted ways on bad terms, only to lead the 2 most dominant armies in the world in some cataclysmic war against each-other.

posted a message on What plane would you most like to revisit in a new block?
After reading the first page, the public opinion seems a little lopsided here...

If they go back to dominaria, maybe they could bring back the old borders, just for that block.

posted a message on What's The Hardest Thing In All Of Magic?
Funny how that post is 100% accurate when the intervening quote is removed!

But, if Turrens wants to start a flame war, I am not going to cooperate.

There ARE people who are only interested in smash face games of Magic. If they can't win, and quickly, they lose interest. Why? Because they want to be THAT STINKING GOOD. And, if they aren't, they can't stand it. Lousy attitude, but it is one that exists.

There are also people, as is obvious from the length of the thread in format elitism, that transfer their opinion of themselves to their opinion of formats. "I am great, and I play this, therefore, only great people play this." Not a right attitude at all, but one that exists.

There are also people who believe that if you don't have pro points you have nothing valid to say about Magic.

Some of all of these people are posting in these threads. And, of course, anybody who disagrees with them is a flame target, exactly as proven by the post.

To be fair, It's not hard to see why some people would be offended by your post

When you take a particular play style, such as fast combo, and you imply that those people are bullies and generally bad people you are on the offense against that particular kind of play style.

posted a message on Should the Reserved List be abolished?
I'm of the opinion that the reserved list is bad for the game, and I wish that it never existed

    BUT

It's a promise that Wizards made, and they should honor that.

    Quote from Aircalibur
I want the reserved list to stay, otherwise my FoWs will lose value.

FoW is not on the reserved list

posted a message on What value difference (if any) do you apply to trading legacy for standard cards?
    Quote from Dresden
Everybody saying that they apply no value difference must most certainly be talking about the situation when they're trading standard cards for somebody else's legacy cards :p If not, please set up a trade list and you'll certainly be one of the most popular traders on the site. There's been posts of this nature before, I think the general % was something around 15-20%

On average, people put a 0% premium on legacy cards. If it were otherwise, than they would just be more expensive, or standard cards would be cheaper in the first place.

Has anyone wondered why snap-caster mage and cavern of souls manage to remain in the $20 range for long periods of time, yet standard-only rares struggle to reach the double-digits? That's the legacy premium at work. It's already built in.
