I really like this Lili, although I agree they played it a little safe with her -2. I can't see her replacing LotV in Modern, obviously, but I'm not too disappointed.
My metagame is very Nahiri heabu at the moment. When deciding how to board against her, I'm torn between Dreadbore and Hero's Downfall. I hate having to answer her at Sorcery speed, but I also like saving a mana/not having to have double black open. Thoughts?
So for Emerge, can the colored mana in the sacrificed creature's cost pay the generic mana in the Emerge cost? In other words, would Kitchen Finks make this emerge cost 2BB or 4BB?
I wonder if they just skipped the part where wizards said this will be a powered down standard.
We didn't miss anything. We just think it's bull***** and continue to be upset about it.
Well if you wanted a format that had a consistent power level then standard isn't it. You can't expect Shadows or Eldritch Moon to be the same power as previous sets. That's not how Wizards does things. There are spikes and there are points where the power is low. You have to learn to live with that. You can be as upset with the power of standard as you want. However, standard will always be a format with high and low points. If you want a format with a consistently high power level play modern or legacy or something.
I haven't touched Standard since SOM/INN. I play Modern, and my beef with the low power level is that it limits the new cards we get for the format. I'm not saying I want a new Eldrazi deck every few months, but a more powerful standard is good for Modern in the long run.
The article specifies they're foil.
I wish I could pick these up at NYCC.
Grixis Delver can get there, but I'm not certain it wants this. Especially when it's already using it's graveyard for Tasigur and Angler.
Yeah?
