Was checking out prices today and noticed that Baneslayer Angel has risen in price a bit. Was only 8-9 last year, now she's at the 15-16 range. what could have caused this? A comparable card Lyra Dawnbringer is still at 8-9$ each.
I believe it's seeing some play on the board of UW control decks side by side with Lyra, usually one copy each and the protection is not that bad too, also she's not Legendary as Lyra.
So do we know when the next wave of Japanese boxes are coming from Wizards? Would love to get another one but im hopping it will be a bit cheaper this time with the restock.
I've managed to get a hold on one Japanese box this week and only got to open today, overall got lucky and really happy with the pulls. Also the japanese cardboard stock look's to be a lot better then the regular boxes.

Nice box, the Japanese boxes are crazy, you got an alt Liliana and two teferis from one box? That is about $200 right there in 3 cards. Great box, I opened two boxes last month, one was the God box with the foil alt Liliana and the other was a normal box but I pulled an alt art Gideon and Teferi out of it and other good cards..
Yeah, I didn't even realize it when I was opening the cards that they had so much value, some of the cards even in regular version japanese are worth a bit more than their english version, at least here in Europe markets. Double alt Teferi was crazy good.

The NA Packs also have these Japanese versions within them randomly. The question is, does a Japanese version of these cards, pulled from an NA pack, have the NA coating?
It's the first time I'm hearing about NA packs having these Japanese alters in them, are you sure?
Anyone know if the Japanese prints are actually Japan Printed, or do they have the card coating and lower pigment of North American prints?
I believe they are printed in Japan, I actually bought a box recently and some German boosters aswell and the card stock is really different, Japan looks more quality.

Right now, she's more expensive than the two Hangarback Walker that one of my decks need for FNM.. so have to wait for Narset price to go down first.

Didn't even noticed that Japanese one's were more to the light side, second image left is German and right Japanese. They just fill more "durable", "harder" cardboard.

in our store we dont get the promos in a plastic bag. this is only true for prerelease promos. i know this one doesnt have like the astral thing, but that they use a reprint as a box promos makes me really wonder
I have a chance to buy a Japanese box for around 170 euros, I’m not really into the prices what do you guys think? I think is neat the alt art and there are some quite nice and I’m afraid it will get almost impossible to get one sealed box in the near future..
I think there is too much craze at the moment, war of the spark is a print on demand set so we will be able to buy boxes for a long time, in 6 months we will be getting japanese boxes at normal prices. WotC already is distributing japanese boxes around the world BTW, stores here in Mexico already got some.
Is that true? Problem is that stores will always bump up the price and I don’t think there’s an actual way to buy these strait from wizards.
They'll also be offered in the FNM prize packs for I believe M20 season making them more available which will drop the price. I want the whole set but I'm waiting for the packs to be distributed before jumping on them. I don't think you'll be able to get the foils though.
