Works well with Leyline of the Void. Sometimes it was awesome because I had heavy graveyard hate on field, sometimes not worth it because I wasn't running enough graveyard hate.
Myself and 3 other close friends in college all have completed T1-T1.5 legacy decks that we play against each other. In addition to that, one of us has at least 7 (maybe more) proxied T1 decks that he continually updates based on the current metagame. It's all very fun.
However I do agree that Standard is a lot more popular for casual LGS games though. It's sad but that's what happens when getting the cards for a good deck is so expensive, and Wizards doesn't support it well. I don't go to LGS's though.
BIG douchbag:2mana::symg::symw::symr:
:1mana::symg: Prevent all damage that would be dealt this turn
:2mana::symw::symw: Destroy all lands
:4mana::symr::symr::symr:Exile all permanents. Starting with you, each player chooses one of the exiled cards and puts it onto the battlefield tapped under his or her control. Repeat this process until all cards exiled this way have been chosen.
:6mana::symw::symw::symw::symw: put two FU counters on BIG douchbag. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove an FU counter from BIG douchbag. When you remove the last FU counter from BIG douchbag, the game is a draw. "eitherway, you all loose"
alternative flavor: "some people just want to watch the world burn"
I run it in Maelstrom Wanderer. With VS in play, I don't generally have to worry about overextending -- a wrath may clear my board, but it also means at least one player is about to be in a world of hurt.
Once I was playing Wanderer and was enchanted with Curse of Echoes. I had VS and Nev's Disk in play, and I cast rude Awakening to turn all of my lands into creatures... which got copied for everyone. Then I activated Nev's Disk to blow up all the things. There were a LOT of VS triggers on the stack.
Curse of Echoes is a 'may' ability. Your friends should not have been so shortsighted with Nev's Disk in play.
I identify with red the most, maybe RB because of the individualism but not the sadistic parts that is commonly display on cards. I am known for being passionate and shortsighted in friendships, relationships.

Whenever you cast a red instant or sorcery spell from your hand, you may draw a card.

Are ways to reuse him, and that's just in monoblack. If you were going a more enchantment, resource control route that didn't involve creatures I probably wouldn't use Mindslicer though.

Have you tried Artificer's Intuition in the deck? I know you typically don't run tutors in the deck besides Tezzeret, the Seeker due to turn speed, but if you end up changing your mind about it, give it a shot. Extremely powerful in a Salvaging Station package.
To me, it is one of the most boring cards in EDH. I find playing it often ends the game in an 'oops i win immediately lol' type of way, and I have seen many players just take way too long with their extra turns.
It is functionally, an excellent card in a slower meta or a combo deck that can cast it for cheap.
Loaming Shaman is fairly weak graveyard hate, but also a fairly weak form of recursion/graveyard protection. So it does two things, at the cost of doing neither of them especially well.
Trinket Mage can dig you up pretty powerful graveyard hard (Tormod's Crypt, Relic of Progenitus), as well as one of the best draw engines (Skullclamp), deck manipulators (Sensei's Divining Top), mana rocks (Sol Ring, Mana Crypt), and assorted other useful things (Expedition Map, Pithing Needle, artifact lands, etc.). The only cost of this is a well-developed Trinket Mage package will take up a sizeable portion of your deck, but since you're spending it on cards you'd kinda want to run anyway the point is fairly moot. Trinket Mage is awesome and Loaming Shaman, while seeming good in theory, has always disappointed me in practice.
I echo this. Trinket Mage is, in terms of a functionality, at least a top 5 blue creature for me. Being a able to tutor up skullclamp/sol ring/gy hate, and getting a body is amazing. Even in Torpor Orb-heavy metas I still think he is worth it.
I'll consider the Tuskcaller and Turbine for sure. Battlesphere is meh with Torpor Orb, and I have no way to flash him. Reactor wins, but any vanilla token can win me the game, so Reactor would end up taking up a slot for control.
Alongside opposition mentioned above, Earthcraft makes excellent use of those same tokens to generate mana by untapping your basic lands. That makes these stacks effects even more one-sided. Totally worth it.
I'm afraid I won't have consistent enough token generation to use Earthcraft. I thought about it, then decided against it. I'll try it out though when I finally figure out what cards to cut.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. So are there themes that seem weak? What cards would you take out?
-As a side note, I won't add time magic, infinite combos, or hard locks with Stasis. So that keeps Capsize out of the deck, hopefully Seedborn Muse doesn't have the same effect.
I don't like playing proxies other than altered generals I make. However I don't mind other people using proxies as long as they use it to power up a weak deck to the average in the playgroup (eg proxying Sword of Fire and Ice to a subpar mono-white deck) not to power up their deck so it is by the best deck in the playgroup (eg proxying manadrain in a polished U/G combo deck). EDH is a social format, if you are proxying I prefer it only to be to make decks playable, not dominating. Otherwise I would just play all-proxies and it would be true 100 card singleton vintage.
Ended up getting cut when I got a No Mercy.

I like the flavor of starting fires.
Gaea's Cradle? Fetchable with Captain Sisay. I wouldn't add the white or green legendary kamigawa lands though.
Crucible of Worlds? You play fetches, Knight of the Reliquary, Strip Mine, etc.
I don't mean to be a hassle, but I believe Mindslicer is very much worth it, especially in reanimator, as:
Chainer, Master of Dementia
Phyrexian Reclamation
Strands of Night
Volrath's Stronghold
Oversold Cemetery

Someone recently started an SCD on Breathstealer's Crypt.

Core themes:
-Slow the game down. Heavy control style, a lot of resource control. My group plays a few stax decks so the style should be fine.
-Tangle Wire + Vorel + tokens.
-Smokestack + Vorel + tokens.
-Skipping untap steps while having a planeswalker and/or passive enchantment out, with Stasis, Winter Orb, Rising Waters, Static Orb, Back to Basics.
-Getting around tap down effects, with Seedborn Muse, Nature's Will.
-Token production, with Awakening Zone, Garruk Wildspeaker, Meloku the Clouded Mirror, Honden of Life's Web, Orochi Hatchery, Trading Post. The tokens are good fodder for Tangle Wire, Smokestack, and good at activating Nature's Will to untap.
-Land destruction/recurrence, with Crucible of Worlds, Mana Vortex, Life from the Loam, Strip Mine, Azusa, Lost but Seeking. I also plan to play cycling lands.
-A minor theme of counters with Vorel on less impressive cards, like Umezawa's Jitte, Pentad Prism, Everflowing Chalice, Spike Weaver, Wickerbough Elder, Woodripper, to ramp or control the board. Spike Weaver fogs, Jitte kills creatures. The two creatures destroy artifact/enchantments repeatedly, and Arcbound Reclaimer recurs my artifacts. All these cards are better with Vorel.
-As a side note, I won't add time magic, infinite combos, or hard locks with Stasis. So that keeps Capsize out of the deck, hopefully Seedborn Muse doesn't have the same effect.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Issues:
After stating my core themes, I have a few questions I would like to receive input on:
-Does the deck seem to have conflicting themes? Which ones would you ditch to make it a better control deck?
-Is it too hard to play tokens in U/G? Do I have enough?
-Should I not bother with both Hondens when I only have two, and no way to tutor for them besides Intuition?
-Do I not run enough creature-hate?
-Is Torpor Orb worth it? Or should I go down the path of ETB?
Any further feedback is appreciated.
Or a 1BB that says "At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player sacrifices a creature, artifact, or land.
