    It's important to understand that clones do not target, simply choose who they want to copy. Once the clone is on the battlefield, it is indistinguishable from the original creature, aside from all the ways a clone says it's different (eg: sakashima the impostor) So the clone copies all parts of the (creature in question), including getting to choose a new player with Sewer nemesis (so the clone could target opponent A, while the original nemesis targets opponent B). After that, the clone is treated exactly as the new creature is treated, including getting buffs when more creatures enter the graveyard.

    The wolf is based on his + ability in garruk, the veil-cursed, but increase in power is from me thinking it might be weak as a -1.

    Divine Visitation in R
    Or pick a guild non-creature rare that's only one color from GRN (EG Mission Briefing), and make it the guild's other color (IE Black for Mission Briefing, or Quasiduplicate in Red.)

    This list is technically an elves deck, but this is the list I run that just went 5-0 in Competitive Constructed, and it fits here. My last match was against Mono-Red, and it was super tense.

    I guess I'll go with Gruul. Now, in the past, Gruul has liked post-combat, and it has liked during combat, but I'm gonna take a new approach, and give the Gruul a mechanic that they'll want to use pre-combat.

    Bloodpaint - When target creature attacks this turn, X.

    Examples:
    Lightning Blood 2R
    Sorcery
    Lightning blood deals 3 damage to target player.
    Bloodpaint - When target creature attacks this turn, it deals 2 damage to target creature defending player controls.
    "Why are you surprised the lightning hits two things? I have two hands!"

    Shaman of Blood 3G
    Creature - Elf Shaman
    Bloodpaint - When Shaman of Blood enters the battlefield, choose target creature. When that creature attacks this turn, search your library for a basic land or gate card and put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle your library.

    Bloodpaint - At the beginning of combat on your turn, choose up to two other target creatures you control. When those creatures attack this turn, they get +2/+2 and gain trample until end of turn.

    The naming convention is the same as the other Gruul keywords, IE they have Blood in the name, but these are usually better to use pre-combat, creating interesting board situations. I'm debating whether to make the Ruric thar triggered ability either all spells, or just creatures. I think just creatures is better, but that's a knob to tweak in development.

    I didn't see a good thread that talked about this possibility, but I had a lot of fun playing with the UW Lifegain Nexus deck during the previous standard, and I was wondering where everyone thought it would go post rotation. Obviously, the deck lost its major win con in aetherflux reservoir, but I think it has a new one. I faced another version of the deck on Arena, after the rotation, that was running Patient Rebuilding as its wincon, but I think that the deck could see a shift into Jeskai now that our wonderful izzet twink is available for use. I just wish there was still a time twister variant in standard, memory did so much work in the previous version. Thoughts? I don't have a list put together completely, but probably very similar to the old one, with some copies of Ral, maybe a 1 of teferi... Let's get brewing!

    You can't go infinite, since you need to untap this creature to do it again. With Staff of Domination, though, you could go infinite with a copy of Battle Hymn

    Hey, I'm curious: Why is Greenbelt Rampager considered good for this list? It's a 3 mana 3/4 usually, or else it eats your energy, and it just seems like there are better options. I am asking legitimately here, sell me on this card, since it seems subpar by my rating.
