he's only good in an alpha strike
He needs several other creatures at least to have any real effect
he isn't good on his own
if you can successfully get around these problems and consistently then he could be good.
Elesh Norn is good by herself. She kills dudes right away. Even if she's the only one on you board she makes the opponent hesitate playing dudes and she's still a 4/7 vigilance. This green guy seems a bit too dependent on your board state.
I run Frites, and the number of times that she gets oringed, copied, or doom bladed the next turn is just silly. I'd prefer having a guy like this on the field, because he swings as he comes in on t3/4, and if he gets controlled, I get to do it all over again. If he gets o ringed, I get to destroy the o ring and do it all over again. if he gets copied, the opponent will not have nearly the board state I do in Frites. I think he's probably gonna get more mileage out of my deck than the already incredible power I was getting out of Norn.
8CC murders this card. . .
You can't even Pod off of a Ghoultree to try and cheat him into play faster
People could still use Unburial Rites on it to try and win 1 turn sooner than Norn but creature ramp is so risky right now I just don't see it coming together
Control against Frites is annoying, anyway, but easily boarded against with 4 Autumn's Veil. And having this dude get doom bladed on casting doesn't get rid of the bonus on your other creatures.
Could this not be run in Frites? Probably not as a 4-of, but considering all of the mana dorks run in the deck it could be another decent finisher. If someone gets their T4 land with white in it with 3 dorks out, they're swinging 24 upon reanimation. That's not bad at all.
It's a very good Frites finisher. It may very well be a 4 of with Cloudshift giving a second run with it.
Or, you know, maybe she was just blending in with the crowds or watching the fun from some other place. Or she's a shapeshifter and just took the looks of one of the terrified locals. Or any number of things that don't involve her kicking it with the Angel and the Demon in the vault and nobody acknowledging it.
The point is that there is absolutely no precedent behind introducing soratami
to Innistrad, especially in the final expansion of the block.
The chances of them being there all along and just hiding is next to zero.
No argument from me there, I'm more just confused as to why they had to be in the Helvault with the Angel and Demons. It seems really silly to me. If a Walker wanted to hide, they could just hide. They don't have to be molesting the story at every interval and be involved at every facet. Liliana and Sorin made sense to be involved. Just plopping some new walker in the vault with no prior mention is just weak.
Well, there are other beings in the Helvault, because Avacyn burst out with them. It wasn't just like there was two characters in the Helvault.
Yes, but this doesn't mean that suddenly some unnamed force infinitely more powerful than Avacyn and Gristlebutt was in there and nobody had a clue. I mean, honestly.
Maybe she/it was locked in the sliver of the moon that became the Helvault. Then, whenever the Helvault was unlocked, she was finally freed from it. There wouldn't have to be an explanation of her until now, because no one would have known she existed, locked inside of the Helvault/moon sliver.
What is with this theory cropping up with every new character they hint at? Seriously, why does there need to be a third person in the vault when absolutely NOTHING relies or indicates that as the case. They suggested the same thing about the devil guy and I have no idea where it came from.
I'm hoping the Devil is a sick legend for Commander.
See, that's how I know EDH has it's hooks in me, I'm actually sad when cool flavorful cards are walkers instead of legends, because that just means one less general.
No, the worst case scenario is having this in your hand, drawing it T1/2, drawing it off of additional draw spells (for example, a shuffled Ponder which works o-so-well with the card apparently)
Because UB and UR wouldn't have discard effects. You know, I could see why someone would see it as a bad card if they disregarded every single card that can work around dead cards.
God, why do you Frites people run Elesh Norn? She's a seven drop dead card in your opening hand. I refuse to acknowledge any card that is used to change that.
Also like Craterhoof, because it's as green as a game ending green beast can be.

Too much as in either run a ramp deck and gsz it and win, or too much as in run it in place of Elesh Norn in Frites and win one turn faster?

Well, given that she probably wouldn't be a native of INN, it is a safe assumption that she would be, or if not, something out of place.
Wait, how did I get to be the guy defending the concept of it being a walker? I'm the skeptic! I've been hoodwinked.
