    A lot to like with this card. Certainly the type of thing that works nicely in cube to support a lot of different things at once with very little downside. Nothing sexy enough on either side for small cubes but it is just the type of care I would be looking for in 540+

    I view this as a colorless walker removal card. But actually all the colors except blue have solid ways of dealing with walkers better than this. And F** blue, it's fine and can do anything anyway.

    I initially got real excited about it but I looked at the same cards you are and ummm....... not sure it will work out better. There are what about 6 3 mana walkers people might be running and the black player might have a chunk of those. I can see runnng this over GftT or HA but those cards are so good specifically because they hit almost everything. Never cutting brutality from my cube nor snuff out for reasons this card isn't touching. So maybe dismemeber? does your group like to play it off color? Move it to colorless, if not, it can go.

    My gut tells me the 4 mana, 3 loyalty, defense is a -3 thing is going to be a problem. I think they he will be fine, even interesting but it is not like 3feri or JtMS. I think it is probably still lower than Jace AoT, Will Kenrith and Tamiyo.

    I think I am going to dig out the Mirage slow fetch lands. It may seem like a slow combo but with 25 fetchable lands getting 15 ways to fetch them sounds like a great time. U/W and U/B manlands are shipping back to the gold section, which with all this perfect section will likely go back up to 4 from 3. I had planned on adding the canopy lands but I think I will put that on hold.

    Agreed. There is plenty of stuff that is fine. Nissa looks good but not better than the Nissa who shakes the world. Wilt is ok but I have dumped naturalize anyway for all creature based removal. Sharknado is good enough but in no way necessary. I like spells decks but it will never actually play out as the enchantment. There are a few more I might try like broodthmoth and Rielle which are good at a certain thing and would be fun but it is unlikely to be hugely impactful.

    I am interested in the tricycle lands. Anyone else going to play those. I think I might hack my land section to get them in.

    Agreed. I think it istime to bring back in Thalia's Lietenant at the same time. Many of the red and white great cube creatures just happen to be human but not all. So this card which fits the 'not all in' nature of cube tribal is perfect. Something like Lightning Helix is probably going to make more main decks but this is more what I want my gold cards to be doing. Payoffs and signposts.

    Obviously this has a low floor but in a curve out Boros deck I want to see how many times I get value the turn this comes into play. But after trying it, the performance probably needs to be equal or better than something like Hero of Oxid Ridge.

    Very cool card but not good enough. Land tax was amazing because it was 1 mana. Once I have 3 land, I am off and running in most games. But the abilit on a 1 mana 2/1 and we are in business. This one is no courser of Cruphix

    I think 4 damage plus player option would make it better in red aggro, but as it is the extra damage gives you more flexibility in killing more targets which should prove to be better in the aggregate if red is doing more than aggro in your Cube. Think about killing an X/1 and 2 X/2s, or a planeswalker and one creature. The 5 splittable damage is going to lead to more blowouts.


    violent eruption is a card already and has madness and is instant speed. Triple red can be tough but it is con color. and I played it for a long time at the beginning of my cube. I think Fiery Confluence took its spot.

    I have certainly reanimated or natural ordered for Krosan Tusker before and this card is certainly a better threat. Tusker really was nice in the ramp deck though and was more reasonable to actually cast. I think it will preform quite well. A good role player in a lot of deck which makes me want ot stick one in my binder to try.

    I'm with you. It's fine and wight of Prentice 6 was an ok body, I like that it is a hybrid and maybe I will squueze it in my rainbow section. But I am going to pull drs for Meren not this guy. It has a strong Yisan, the Wanderer Bard vibe. Interesting, maybe fun but a lot of set up, lot of turns, lots of mana. So there has to be an amazing game ending combo at the end of that rainbow to be worth it.

    This is a great card and I would like the art in cube but I just son't need to burn the few slots I have for triple color cards on removal. Ohrzov already has vindicate, anguished unmaking, and utter end, and golgari might even be deeper on removeal. Plus I am already cutting great removal out of white and black.

    Agreed. These are some of the worst mechanics they have created in a while. I am not even speaking power level. Mutate is going to be hard for people to understand, and I was already so sick of auras and they invent another bestow mechanic. It is even worse than bestow because at least it wasn't parasitic and could interact with other enchantment related cards. Monstrosity was so much better from an understanding and play standpoint.

    And companion. Yes I wanted a mechanic in standard that opens the door for my opponent to check my entire deck each game . Frown
