Aug 10, 2008Ok I'm sorry about that... but I just don't want super super crazy decks that blow everything out of the water with like 4 black lotuses and such. I mean I just wanted some sort of guideline for what is legal and such. If parabola wants he can revote because of that. I mean its not such a big deal to me as long as its not amazingly amazingly broken. I just want to see fun casual decks, not stuff that wins faster then you can play the deck basically.Posted in: Casual & Multiplayer Formats
Aug 6, 2008All the decks look fun, I will put my vote in sometime before Saturday. If someone wants to take over for points cause I just don't have as much time as I thought I would... school already started for me so I am stretched thin. Keep up the good work otherwise guys.Posted in: Casual & Multiplayer Formats
Jul 30, 2008Ok, the card for this week is Holistic Wisdom" target="blank">Holistic Wisdom. Sorry I didn't get it earlier, I've been busy as hell. I'll get the points up by Sunday or Monday. Sorry again, and congrats to Parabola01 for winning.Posted in: Casual & Multiplayer Formats
Jul 28, 2008Ok I loved all the decks, but I just love how Parabolas deck worked. I was really close to picking him last time, but I just have to go with his deck this time. Though I love all the decks and I love how everyones works out. This is what I want the contests to be like.Posted in: Casual & Multiplayer Formats
Jul 22, 2008Ok so I am running a mono green aggro deck for when eventide comes out. I've tried it a bit and it does really well against some decks, and on the play I tend to win a lot. So here it is, what do you think.Posted in: Standard Archives
DeckMagic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards 21 Forest
4 Chameleon Colossus
4 Nettle Sentinel
3 Garruk Wildspeaker
4 Twinblade Slasher
4 Talara's Battalion
3 Ohran Viper
3 Primal Command
Creature choice is a bit obvious in most aspects, I was going for an as fast as possible build obviously. Viper is there to either deal with threats, or draw cards, both of which are useful.
And as for spells, there is a small amount but they all add something. Primal command might be better sideboard though, but if I don't win fast enough it can get me a creature I need and another beneficial ability. Snakeform tends to be a 2 for 1, and manamorphose is amazing in this deck.
Any thoughts?? I like how it works out and it beats a lot of deck pretty consistently, but I wouldn't mind sideboarding Primal Commands.
Jul 19, 2008Ok this is basically the second round of the contest. The card picked for the first round was Auratouched MagePosted in: Casual & Multiplayer Formats
So here are the rules for the decks.
1: Decks have to be based around, or heavily influenced around the said card. If I feel its not its not qualified.
2: Even though its casual I don't want you to use banned cards or more then 1 of each restricted card. Other then that every set is legal, even unglued and unhinged.
3: I don't completely care how good the deck is, I mean yeah better decks are gonna be more favorable, but I want to see better interactions with the said card.
4: I will be doing a point based system.
You get 1 point for submiting a decklist, and an extra 1 if it follows all of the criteria.
You get 5 points for being picked as a finalist (If I decide to do that, depends on how many people input decklists).
You get 5 points for getting picked as the best deck.
The card chosen for this week is Head Games
Points are as follows.
