Quote from MockingbirdIf you want, you can splash in land destruction to get maximum hatred with Teneb. Let me give an example of what someone did to me.
My opponent Mortify-ed my Primeval Titan. Then revived it with Teneb. They didn't trigger the land searched though because he then Armageddoned... I scooped.
I am testing Cataclysm to see if it's a viable win condition in conjunction with most of the fatties in my deck.
Anyway, I've played against a fairly wide range of decks (including but not limited to Johira, Niv Mizzet, Saffi, Rafiq, Kiki-Jiki, Wort, and Oros) and I'm okay with most generals. I'm certainly not going to hate on you because you like one general over another. That's just annoying.
I think a personal peeve of mine is decks that completely bank on their general to win. Things like Uril, the Misttalker and Zur the Enchanter that do nothing but throw enchantments on their general and swing strike me as lazy and boring to play/play against.
Conversely, 5 color decks that don't really interact with their general kind of annoy me too.
I'm Nodrog and my preferred format is EDH (Commander, as you youngsters call it. ;)) My favorite color is blue and my favorite color to splash is black.
I first started playing MTG around Judgment and my first deck ever was B/R Reanimator followed closely by mono black rats.
I typically like casual games among friends and am not a big fan of competitive scenes (also, Standard and Legacy are super expensive to play...)
That's about it. I'll probably post some decks in the near future so hope to hear some nice tech ideas from some of the vets here.
Eg. Diabolic Servitude and Woodfall Primus?
I suppose I should have specified. My playgroup runs a lot of sweeper spells, so building around wizards drawing me cards with Azami doesn't quite explode the same way as it should. I generally like having a relatively modest board presence and explode late game. The draw spells help me cut through my deck and help me find everything I need.
Also @ShAdOwFuRi, thanks for the link.

Aggressively gaining card advantage to combo off as quickly as possible.
Mind Over Matter + Temple Bell to make all opponents draw their decks. It's a good way to remove all opponents simultaneously. The best part is that you can get around Eldrazi Titans and respond to most bounce/ removal with a combo trigger.
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre is simply there to keep Temple Bell from decking myself and also recycles all of the spells I've played thus far. I don't usually plan on casting him.
Tutor, deck manipulation, and draw spells ensure that I get the cards I need with relative frequency while control spells keep my opponents at bay long enough to go off.
Azami, Lady of Scrolls or Arcanis the Omnipotent + Mind Over Matter for infinite card advantage. Arcanis is slower, but nets me 2 cards every time I untap him.
Theft stuff. Memnarch is a huge threat by himself.
Copy spells let me get any opponent's artifacts that I can put to good use.
Turn 2 Bribery or Acquire to put on some serious early game pressure.
Mimic Vat + Mulldrifter to draw two and swing for 2 or chump block every turn.
Mimic Vat + Ixidron to forever make creatures 2/2.
Venser, Shaper Savant + Riptide Laboratory turns Venser into a second Capsize.
Snapcaster Mage + Evacuation to use both cards twice.
I'd like some feedback. All things considered, it's a pretty standard Azami deck but I think I've made a pretty solid build.
