Quote from MRdown2urth »Maybe if they returned the tuck rule to its original form.
Quote from Underhill83 »Maybe I should try it in my Athreos Clerics deck. I mean, if the flipped land dies it is still a creature with cmc 3 or less, right?
Quote from ISBPathfinder »I think the biggest thin if comparing vs Dark Depths is that Westvale Abbey still produces colorless mana so you are not out a land drop when you go to play it. If you dont have the right setup for it, its still a colorless land. If you dont have the right set up for Dark Depths, its really terrible.
In my mind, its kind of like the analogy between Maze of Ith and Kor Haven. If you are not up against big beefy creatures then Maze of Ith feels awkward. Kor Haven takes up minimal space and is a functional land outside its utility.
Because Westvale Abbey still produces mana and comes in untapped, its a small risk but a decent bit of utility assuming you ever fire the transform. Dark Depths is a liability until you fire it and often it requires additional setup to really "work". Westvale Abbey on the other hand requires less support and is a lot better when you are not firing the transform.
Quote from Tryno »The following cards feel like they promote investing to much into the board in my opinion: Paragon of Fierce Defiance, Goblin Wardriver, Brighthearth Banneret. They feel to important to attack with and only shine when they synergize with other cards. I would promote adding Raging River, Scab-Clan Berserker, and Solemn Simulacrum. I know Solemn isn't part of the tribe, but it gives too much to exclude, especially in a mono red deck with limited access to resources.
Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs. Playing as an aggressive deck, makes Kazzul less good. Its because people tend to attack less when you are committed to turning all of your cards sideways every turn. This is because they wish to leave blockers up for when its your turn again. I would add Markov Blademaster. It is literally insane, if I could have every warrior in my Lovisa deck be Markov Blademaster, I would.
Quote from Mercury01 »I would replace Berserkers' Onslaught with Rage Reflection.
Quote from MRdown2urth »Opinion on the colorless wraths?
Quote from MockingbirdIf you want, you can splash in land destruction to get maximum hatred with Teneb. Let me give an example of what someone did to me.
My opponent Mortify-ed my Primeval Titan. Then revived it with Teneb. They didn't trigger the land searched though because he then Armageddoned... I scooped.
