Hell Judgment :1mana::symb::symb:
Sorcery (R)
Exile all creatures with converted mana cost less than or equal to the number of cards in your graveyard.
Great card, albeit "slightly" undercosted.
Say, if I post a card for tomorrow's thread (March 31st), I'll start on the April DCC, right?
Ambush <Cost> sounds great. It adds an additional tuning option for balance too. Thanks for the suggestion.
PS - that rule exception is quite a problem. Will adding "If a sourse would cause you to reveal..." at least prevent that?
Ahh, emrakul -_- What's with this block anyway... I'll test it out.
Next two (individual card interactions):
4-Striker
Creature
Double Strike
During each combat damage step, if 4-Striker would deal combat damage, you may have 4-Striker deal its combat damage two times instead.
1/3
I haven't seen things that referred to the combat damage step. I'm particularly interested in this creature's interactions with things that trigger on combat damage, i.e. sword of fire and ice.
Ambush-Hoser
Enchantment
Cards that aren’t on the battlefield lose all activated or triggered abilities.
Would this stop things like ambush or Progenitus' "if this goes into the graveyard, shuffle it back"?
Though I see your point. It'll be more of a matter of balancing the ambush cards rather than the mechanic itself. My question is, has it been worded correctly?
And I thought the same way about scry/clash too, but it's a keyword ability now.
Do these work? I templated the first based on madness, and the second based on scry. I'm centering a new set around these mechanics.
New keywords:
Ambush — If you reveal a card with ambush from anywhere, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.
Notes: Ambush is a keyword that represents two abilities. The first is a static ability that functions while the card with Ambush is in a player's hand or library. The second is a triggered ability that functions when the first ability is applied. "Ambush" means "If a player would reveal this card, that player reveals it, but may exile it instead of putting it back into its original zone" and "When this card is exiled this way, its owner may cast it without paying its mana cost. If that player doesn't, he or she puts this card into his or her graveyard."
Uncover N — Whenever a creature with uncover attacks or blocks, reveal N card(s) from the top of your library, then put them on the bottom of your library in any order. The creature gets +X/+X until end of turn, where X is equal to the combined converted mana costs of all cards revealed this way.
Note: multiple instances of uncover stack.
PS: how many threads can I make? I have a few other concepts too, that I'm trying to make it work. Can I post more than one here, or more than one thread at a time?
First time playing in a card creation game, haven't played since odyssey so my balance sense might be a bit off in modern times where things like Terra Stomper are legal. I'd welcome some feedback!
Ephemeral6
Creature - Breaker (R)
Flash, Haste
:symtap:: Return target spell to its owner's hand. He or she may add X mana of any combination of colors to his or her mana pool, where X is that spell's converted mana cost.
