Quote from cyberium_neo »Thantis is a funny card, while it doesn't directly supports spider, spiders would work best due to their fat butt. I like the idea of using -1/-1 a LOT, since you could create tokens via the usual Hapatra strategy, and with the added red you can combine Everlasting Torment and Goblin Bombardment to further weaken your opponent as they kill each other off, or knock themselves silly against your wall of Dread and No Mercy. All the -1/-1 counters put on Thantis (due to Everlasting Torment) would automatically wear off as Thantis could gain its own +1/+1 counters.
Use Forgotten Ancient to further your counters, and Quillspike to remove excessive ones.
If tokens become a plausible route, Purphoros and Impact Tremor would be wincon on their own.

Situational but I play it along with Solemnity in a deck or two simply because I have a player that loves Tainted Strike & Triumph of the Hordes in my playgroup.
