My parents found a box of my old cards from when I started to play in highschool in their closet yesterday,
I rummaged through the box of commons, with a few uncommons here and there, these cards were mostly from the TSP block, with a few from Rav/Kamigawa
I don't like the clan names for color. one might assume "Ohh just another Jeskai deck". but what's in that deck might not be the usual, it's just running those colors. so then the jeskai part of the name is redundant. maybe it has a theme that suits better as the name, or as you see sometimes, the deck built around a card, like Hatred and lots of others we had in the past. it gave every original deck a special flavor
If the deck is ruw its jeskai, it doesnt matter if its from the pro tour top 8 or from you little brothers imagination
As far as what to do about the hate cards... I really don't know....
People are slow to adapt to Yisan in my meta and are not taking the steps needed to hate it out. In my opinion the best thing you can do is just play to the strengths of the deck, with your same game plan in mind. These cards are only a two or three of in a 99 card deck, and with the new mulligan rule it can force them either to keep weak hands with hate or keep "good" hands that may or may not interact with us in the right ways.
Also Land Destruction/Gaea's Cradle are the two main ways I seem to be winning with this deck. Its not too often that I need to race with Craterhoof anymore.
I too find LD to be a very strong strategy with this deck, it's a shame we don't have 1 or 2 more good ones
Would these be too strong? With wizards moving away from turn 1 acceleration i'd think so, but needing the second land in your hand might make it more balanced

Tonight at FNM I played against someone who just sighed and complained all round, then at the end he says "Sorry I'm so salty, but siege rhino is bull*****"
I was playing Abzan Aristocrats w/ Rhino, he was playing Abzan Aristocrats w/o Rhino
Thoughtseize and friends are a clear example why going second is a disadvantage
And smallpox and friends are a clear example why going second is an advantage?
Actually wouldn't going second be better on the receiving end of a discard spell since you do get the extra draw as opposed to starting?
You're still up a card, but you lost your most valuable one, decreasing the value of your opening hand
or else you'll always be shuffling cards throughout the binder
easy to find anything
I giggle at this from time to time
"‘Davvol, blast those elves.' ‘Davvol, transport those troops.' No one cares that today is my birthday."

I must thank my parents for finding this

Ruw is jeskai, how is it redundant in any way?

Local jacka... great guy, offered me a card that "you cannot lose with"
