I keep imagining using this on some degenerately horrible creature like Hellcarver Demon or against decks not optimized for Dralnu, Lich Lord, donating it to an opponent, and then forcing all the bad effects on them with it. But imagination fails me here save for the derpiest of derpy decks, so I only ever see it really used as a haste/buff.

Hellcarver Demon, eh? Throw in a Bullwhip and you might have something there. :p

Bears and bear related themes should appear on MtG cards more often.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the most recent bear we've gotten is Bruse Tarl. Wink

Additionally, what exactly are your opponents supposed to do? Sudden Impact you while you're tapped out?

There are a lot of ways that Enter the Infinite can backfire. All it takes is someone playing Flux, Temple Bell, Font of Mythos, Blue Suns Zenith, there are a lot of variations to this.

Those who do not learn from the debates of the past are doomed to repeat them.

Honestly, as someone who loves playing with creatures, Humility is the most annoying effect. Luckily it is essentially the only card with this effect. I know its not a keyword, but man does it suck to play against.

    Build your own Humility
    You will need:
    1x Godhead of Awe
    1x Torpor Orb
    1x Cursed Totem
    Add ingredients to battlefield.

Maybe they'll give us the UR artificer legend we've been clamoring for. And it's Jhoira.

Based on this artwork, if there is ever an MTG movie, Eddie Murphy plays Teferi or GTFO.

Eddie Murphy? Nah. Idris Elba's got the right look and the screen presence for such a role.

Something I only just noticed: the elf with the daggers has a set of leather straps around their left eye, kind of like an eyepatch without the patch. Paying homage to Freyalise?

It's almost certain they're of Llanowar, because Llanowar Elves have always* been depicted with an eyepatch/goggle over their left eye. If I recall my lore correctly, it was Freyalise who began wearing an eyepatch to honour their devotion to her.

*apart from the abysmal 7th Edition version.

I still resent how they hand-waved away the fact that Jarad was a protagonist in the original Ravnica books. By this point I'm convinced that no one on the current creative team has read said books. I'm glad that they're giving us a BG protagonist in the form of Vraska but they don't have to erase another BG protagonist to do so. I don't understand how he went from the only sane and halfway decent person in the Golgari to a racist dictator with no explanation in between. Sure, a lot can happen in 60-ish years, but - say it with me now - show, don't tell.

I see it as Jarad's emotional attachments gradually rotting away with his flesh - as I recall from the original Ravnica trilogy, Jarad had died and used necromancy to become a lich, and his onetime wife noted that even if he appeared the same for now, he wouldn't be the same man he once was. Which makes sense. He doesn't need to eat or sleep or procreate, so there's no subconscious reminders of his mortality or biological need to connect with others. I sincerely doubt he would continue caring about living beings beyond what they can contribute to him and the guild.

I think it's a good idea. Hopefully it should result in better quality stories.

    Going back a bit, but

One of the more bizarre designs in MTG, even ignoring that it's already a homarid to begin with, it has two of nearly the same ability. Is this homarid launching corpse-balls coated in swampy slime at the enemy? In the case of artifact creatures, why are they immune to slimy corpse-balls, but cannot resist the power of cold slimy corpse-balls? Maybe it digests it first and squirts marshy-corpsey-fluid at the enemy, like some sort of macabre Water Gun, and when it's cold it is more corrosive? These questions will remain unanswered by me, because I have no idea where to find those answers.

While your interpretation is hilarious, I like to think the mechanic of Viscerid Drone is that it sends a decoy to draw the target out and then drowns them both in a flood. Artifact creatures are too sturdy to withstand regular swamps, you see. They have to get dragged down into the icy and salty depths of a snow-covered swamp.

It's putting a hit on the target like some kind of lobster mobster.
