Sakura-Tribe Elder is not a beatdown card, it is a 1/1 for 2. Wood Elves is not a beatdown card, it is a 1/1 for 3 mana. Is this your idea of aggro? Because its sounding like Control-speed but without the answers.

Even aggro has to have some mana acceleration. I'm just saying it's not hard to splash a third color without losing tempo.

Everyone seems to be talking about a Gruul/Boros match up and which would end up winning, but I think a more difficult match up would be Gruul vs. The Rock.

In my area, The Rock already walks all over every other deck archetype including Boros Deck Wins, G/W aggro, and Stinky, running huge hitters like Kokusho, Kodama North, Ink-Eyes, Svogthos, and Grave-Shell Scarab, while sitting behind a wall of Carven Caryatids.

While I think R/G aggro is a little bit faster than The Rock, it seems that B/G would have more answers both before and after sideboarding. Mainboard they have Putrefy and Carven Caryatid to take out creatures and hold back others (the Caryatid can efficiently hold back the Solifuge.) And it has creatures such as Kokusho and Kodama to match the strength of R/G aggro. The Scarab would be next to impossible for R/G to eliminate. And after sideboarding, B/G has Persecute and Cranial Extraction.

As it looks right now, I think B/G poses the largest threat to R/G, but the whole spoiler isn't out yet, so Gruul might get something to help it against The Rock.

    Any thoughts?

Zoo sucks because it's so inconsistent. Look at your list; it's a whole bunch of two-color cards. You know how difficult it will be to make that deck run smoothly and consistently, at least in terms of mana? Not only that, but multiple 4-drops are not the best direction to take an aggro deck. The deck is barely Tier 2 right now. Most forms of Control shut it down, and pure R/W Aggro smashes it. Hard. I'm sure R/G will too.

Dude, Invasion Block ran 5-color decks effectively. This format is designed to have more than 2 colors in one deck. Just because there are 10 2-color pairs does not mean decks are meant to be confined to those pairs. Zoo would pretty much be G/R/w, splashing white only for Watchwolf, Loxodon Hierarch, and Lightning Helix, which would provide it with a little bit more versatility. BoP, Sakura-Tribe Elder, and Wood Elves can completely fix the third mana source if you run 4 Stomping Ground, 2 Sacred Foundry, 2 Temple Garden, and 1 Plains. Wood Elves can fetch most of the Duals, or an Elder could fetch your lone Plains. Mana fixing is not a problem for green.

On a side note, I think The Rock provides more of a problem for R/G aggro than Boros Deck wins.
