Is this the BR Asylum thread? Which is the latest version?
edit: Any particular reason for the Monstrous Carabids over Horror of the Broken Lands (aside from the easier to cycle hybrid cost)? Horror has the incidental +2/+1 ability, which is easily achievable with what the deck is doing, making him a bigger threat late game.
Im with Brainz on the UR ponza deck list. I've also been brewing with an Izzet build, which you can find here: Izzet Ponza, and I'm interested on what other cards can be included.
Updated to current list above. The deck plays like Stompy in the initial stages of the game (turn 1 Young Wolf. turn 2 attack with Wolf, play Skarrgan Pit-Skulk. turn 3, Rancor), but can grind it out with massive 3/4s and 4/5s in the mid game.
Nice report man! We're seeing results mainly from online events, and maybe that's why some content creators are pushing for a ban on Gush (blue decks) and the Monarch mechanic (Boros and Orzhov, to some extent) because, really, you see these decks regularly online. But in paper pauper, we see a lot of variety. So thanks again! Continue with the reports, please.
This deck can't win. It can't beat Elves, it can't beat Boros, it can't beat Tron, it can't beat Affinity, it can't beat Reanimator, it can't beat UB control.
What's the point?
In the right deck (such as Rakdos/Dimir Reanimator), yes it is. I run 2 Nausea SB in my UB Reanimator, so might as well Replace them with Mephitic Vapors for more Gurmag fodder.
Updated deck build and revamped sideboard. I'm not that sold on including 2 Augury Owls, so I'm considering these 2 as flex spots.
Otherwise, I've reverted back to the build with Wall of Roots and Nest Invader as stop gaps against aggro. With these three (Wall, Nest Invader and Coiling Oracle), Blastoderm comes down fairly consistently on turn 3, and a rampaging, shrouded 5/5 beast on turn 3 is nothing to sneeze at.

Thoughts?
Okay, fine.
Caw Blade perhaps?
On a totally unrelated note... I have seen some Tron and Izzet Pieces builds using Devious Cover-Up

Yep, definitely! Plus, its also an aggressive 3/2 for 3cmc! I think the Surveil mechanic has the potential to have an impact in pauper.
