I'm not as much worried about other decks as I am more concerned for the mirror itself. This past weekend this deck has been everywhere, so I definitely need to be preparing my sideboard for that. What is the best way to sideboard for the mirror or are cards that don't destroy us in the process. Does a 1 sided suppression field exist?

So I've seen people talk about using Absolute Law and Seal of Cleansing While they both seem like strong cards in there own regards, using E-tutor is pretty much a necessity. Seal definitely has it's ups and downs compared to disenchant, but the fact you can find it with E-tutor seems to be the best reason for me. Absolute Law I like comparing to CoP: Red. I dropped the circle from sideboard a while ago, but Law has the benefit of being strong against goblins, and also painters servant combo in some situations as well.

So do these cards warrant a sideboard slot?

I had to move, so I basically have no chance to play legacy anymore. So I've taken to twitch for my magic fix. I found that Micheal Bonde actually streams death and taxes on MTGO. Unfortunately twitch no longer auto-archives so the streaming he did last week isn't recorded Frown

Regardless his page is here, so I'd follow him cause it's great learning experience if you can catch it live. http://www.twitch.tv/michaelbonde

What about just 1-2 relic of progenitus main? I feel like I side it in half of the time, so at worst it's a cantrip, and in a deck without many ways to draw, that's not too bad.

hey guys! there have been some requests for me to stream modo. Someone has offered to lend me most of DnT for DEs. Does anyone here have 4 rish ports they can lend on Modo? I don't have collateral, but I'm trustworthy Kekeke >

Also, what time should I stream?

I would love to see some more streams. I like MTGO more mainly because you'll face a higher level of player/less jank there, but that's just me. Any death and shenanigans is good death and shenanigans. I'm curious as to why you chose to stream on justin.tv as opposed to Twitch. Twitch just seems more popular?

Anyways good luck to everyone going to Baltimore this weekend. Normally I'd go, but I can't make it. I'm letting a friend borrow my copy, but he has no experience, so I'm preparing for the worst. But I've been kicking around the idea of running 24 lands but 3 horizon canopies. The mana base would be something like

    Thoughts?

I've been prepping for the GP one of the best ways I can. Grinding standard for byes haha. I've gotten 2 so I won't complain.

So what are the thoughts of 4 karakas nowadays? A lot of people, myself included, went down to 3, but there has been talk of going back to 4 with the new legend rule change. However mangara has gone down to 2 as well though, but that brings back the discussion of mangara being less effective overall or because the numbers are being cut.

So I feel like the deck is very weak to Thoughtseize and Inquisition of Kozilek. If we're not on the play and they get the T1 discard for the creature, the game can practically be over. Even if we side in a playset of leyline of sanctity, it doesn't always seem like enough.

I've test Eijango Castle and I feel it does nothing relevant... What do you guys think about it!?

It was played for a meta where punishing jund was a bit more popular(european grand prix, when the deck first started becoming big). In a different and shifted meta/metagame, it can be less relevant.

Well my finish from Baltimore was a bit mediocre. My final record was 5 and 4. I can't make any major complaints about my performance, but I do feel like I didn't mulligan aggressively at certain points in my first few games. My wins were to Maverick, Merfolk, 4 Color Loam, BUG Delver, and UW Helm Combo/Miracles while my losses were to deathblade, 2 Mono-Red decks and the mirror.

The deathblade match really came down to how much discard he had. I won the game where he didn't and lost the 2 he did. I still run 2 E-tutors in the sideboard, so it figures I face 2 Mono-Red decks the first time I took the Circle of Protection: Red out. And as for the mirror, equipment+flyer=win. Whichever one of us won was the one who first had the equipped flyer.

There was a decent amount of Death and Taxes players I saw there. Congratulations to the one who made top 16, however there was at least 7 of us there...
I'm actually not sure if that's a high number or normal actually.

So what are thoughts of 1 Ethersworn Cannoist mainboard? I understand how powerful it can be in the right matchups, espeically for game 1. But it's just a 1-of in a deck with no draw, and there are plenty of matches where it's just a grizzly bears.

I'm playing the deck in Baltimore, so I'm working on a few tweaks.

Well that card spiked in price. I don't think the GP win could have caused that much. Did something else happen?

I think Rakdos Keyrune might be a strong addition. In addition to an accelerant, he also functions as a good creature stop.

I see arguments for both; not having and having restoration angel. However, I find myself wanting 2-3 restoration angel, but in a deck like this with no draw, or anything I feel like I have to run 4. It has to be 4 or 0, and because I want at least one, I have to go to 4.

So this is my current sideboard.

I have to respect the reanimator deck, but with so much graveyard interaction it's to hard to run cards like grafdigger's cage or rest in peace. There's tormod's crypt and purify the grave, but I never found myself happy to play/draw those cards. However, I find myself very much liking Cremate. It works well, is unexpected, and cantrips. The main reason is because it can be used against other decks. Those other cards are narrow and only good against reanimator, and they are prepared to fight against it. But it's valuable against other decks such as snapcaster decks or ones with rancor/strangleroot geist.

I tried finding cards that I can bring in more than 1 matchup. Hyper aggressive decks, I can bring in Nighthawk, Surgeon, Mutilate. Depending on the midrange, I can bring in appetite, and also duress or witchbane. The latter 2 are also good for esper control. For the mirror, cremate and nighthawk are key.

Liliana is good, but we can fight through it. One of the key interactions is using a fetchland in response to the sacrifice to get a dryad arbor. Back to nature is a very narrow hate card. It's only good against us, and is underplayed as a result.
Gaddock Teeg is interesting, and is most effective against tron decks. But they have lots of ways to interact with it, such as pyroclasm, and he also won't stop a wurmcoil.

Names, you are spot on with your analysis. This deck is more popular online than in real life, but it's still just as strong, and as such, isn't as properly fought against.
