Ok I am excited for the new Madness Deck. It will help Olivia, Mobilized for War ALOT as there is a package of good madness cards to take advantage of her ability
I don't know what to do in standard with it, and in Modern it's probably super janky, but wow it offers some spicy deck design space.
The thing is... I have seen decks that want cards in the yard and NOT try to be mill or basic reanimator and it doesn’t go well... and intentionally running cards that you just want to exile is dumb... and you are jumping through all these hoops for... rather minor benefits... I just don’t see this being very good in practice
Honestly people are really sitting in Magical Christmas land with this guy... the only way his ability can be used with even remote frequency is if you mill yourself. But then we are in a catch 22. In order for his ability to have the most oomph, you need a lot of legendaries. But in order to use his reanimating ability with any frequency, you need to fill up the yard, but thosevery same self mill cards are rarely legendary... meaning you need to stock up on more non-legendary spells.
Honestly I don’t see why people are upset about non-basics st common.., they let people build decent mana bases without dropping the money for rare lands...
I mean I remeber the horror that was SCM/INN/RTR time with manabases being nearly $200 themselves...
Honestly, the need to exile 2 legendaries in order to use his ability I think puts a dampen on this abusiveness. Puts a really painful limitation on him
card is fine, but I don't really see this being played over big brother anywhere both are legal, really.
Except this card costs 1 instead of 3, is only 1 color instead of 2, and lets you sacrifice ANY land to tutor instead of specifically a forest or plains...
But in commander this card would make a solid Voltron commander.
oh and Use this on Morophon... MOROPHON MUTATED VOLTRON!
and if you control another zombie combining him with Food Chain and Gravecrawler is an infinite death combo...
Whelp that was easy

This guy is a big old catch 22...

Kind of big differences there...
This is amazing for those decks built around being all permanent.
