Fun thing about the counterspell creature is it's interaction with delve, and how you can use the cards an opponent's delve spell just exiled to enable the counter.
Possible they could be going back to the old system where the event/clash pack gets released later. Also possible they're adding a third thing to the cycle, and simply not announcing it yet (unlikely, but it will mean that the cycle won't get stuck as "Large gets event, small gets clash".) Last option is simply they've missed it off for some reason.
Hmm, it's probably nothing, and just MaRo's poor wording, but he doesn't actually say that the enemy fetches aren't getting reprinted. He just says there's a rare land cycle that isn't fetches.
If it isn't poor wording... the feel bads, man. The feel bads.
Disclaimer, I don't think enemy fetches will be in BFZ anymore. Personal speculation is now first set in next block when KTK/FRF bug out, OR in the enemy EDH decks (which will make the UR one obnoxiously hard to get).
Legendary cards are fine. Removing the legendary rule would be utterly stupid and broken (Hi cheap clone, meet this sneak'd Emrakul). The only change I would be fine with is the return of the pre-Theros rule set, but that's only because there are some really busted legends in EDH who's only real reliable form of removal are clones (Sigarda, Progenitus, etc).
It's something that's just... fine. I don't personally know anyone who has issue with the legendary rules as they stand.
When on Earth are the Intro Pack decklists getting spoiled... they go on sale tomorrow night...
Why would you want one? They are always worth less than the money you pay for them and require way too much work to improve to standard level.
Also am I the only one who thinks we will never be able to comment on gatherer again? I swear they aren't putting it back because they don't want it back. It's not that hard to write such a feature to a website.
Occasionally intros have gems in them. Heck, Umezawa's Jitte was in one. Event decks and clash packs are usually where the gold is though.
I know, the point of the comment was that Dominaria's a wreck after everything that happened there. So it would either have to be another "back in time" set or something about rebuilding and repairing the plane.
I've got a suspicion that the five Origins walkers are a teaser of the next set of planes we'll see, either in their home planes or their first walk planes (unless we finally get a new Dominaria set!.)
Awesome move. I don't think I know anyone who says they like the 5 boosters + chuddy fixed garbage. I can't begin to count the number of times I've not played the seeded pack colours, and essentially had a dead pack in my pool.
Seems White is going to get a nice stack of new soldiers. One or two really good ones could mean Preeminent Captain could have a few months of being awesome in Standard.
I'm hoping for plenty of nods to the early days of MtG. Since Sarkhan literally just messed with time, I think it's a perfect chance to butterfly effect some things like Dakkon's Black Blade into card form.
Creative said that they're keeping the changes to the timeline limited to Tarkir in order to avoid too many storyline snarls. They had Ugin spend the last millenia in that healing cocoon in the new timeline specifically so that there would be a justification for why that would be the case.
However, WotC has confirmed that Liliana's home plane is Dominaria. I.E.: the plane where the first ~10 years of MtG took place. And we already knew that Liliana ascended long before the mending. So, really they've got an even better reason to throw old-school references at us than "because time travel".
I'm also suspecting that there might be a 6th 'walker again, possibly in the form of a new Bolas, which would allow a Duel Deck that made sense to happen since Khans is full of buddy-walkers.
I'm pretty sure that WotC has already explicitly stated that there's only going to be five, but hell if I can remember where they said that.
They only said five DFCs. A sixth regular walker should be totally possible, and thematically Bolas would fit within the idea that he was already a walker when the five in origins were turning.

Aye, they've been doing this for quite a while. One of the cover mythics usually is.

Count me in.
