I removed Faith's Reward for Infiltration Lens because I realized that Faith's Reward on its own is underwhelming. I usually just hold the card hoping someone wraths the board. And even then, my tokens won't come back.
I'm also thinking of removing my cycle lands for Plains. They don't really do much (I never cycle them) and sometimes that one mana really matters. Thoughts?
I'm also looking for early-midgame token producers. I'm not trying to be an aggro deck, my brew is more midrange, but I'd like to have some board presence before finally slamming down something that's relevant on Turn 7. Do you think I should add Midnight Haunting, Gather the Townsfolk, and Raise the Alarm? They all seem underwhelming.
@RWF_Less
Thanks! Reliquary Tower was more of a meta call, because I usually play with two Zedruu decks(they love their Howling Mines, they do).
@Lucian
Yeah, I don't really feel the loss of a mana symbol.
I should try getting a copy of Mentor of The Meek. But with all of the anthems I'm running, would it still be worth it?
Hi, MTGS. I've recently gotten into EDH and this is my first deck.
When Odric, Master Tactician got spoiled, I immediately sought cards to build an EDH deck with him as the general. Due to card availability, I first settled with a token theme and it kinda stuck.
I like how the deck plays out, but I feel like there are cards I'm missing. The deck is capable of really explosive plays that can kill 2-3 people a turn. Sometimes, it just durdles.
As much as possible, I still want it to be aggro, token-centered.
The deck name is taken from Fate/Stay Night, because I'm using a digitally altered Saber in place of Odric. 0:]
(And yes, I know I'm missing out on a lot of format staples)
Some of the craziest plays I've made with this deck is spitting out a ton of Cat tokens on opponent's EOT while Cathars' Crusade and Odric is out. Storm Herd also becomes extremely funny when you drop it.
Buying Guides right now would up the price by 50%, lol.
They're first priority once I get this initial list going, though. I've also considered getting them before other pieces of the deck, but that would leave me with a bad 60. (Guide + Lava Spike would already be ~$30 here.)
I'm looking into dabbling into Modern and I've decided (along with a push from my friends) into picking Burn. I love Burn, I've been loving Legacy Burn for as long as I've known the deck.
My plan with the deck is to invest what little money I have into it and acquire pieces from there. If and when I complete the deck, I then make the transition into Legacy Burn. Sounds like a plan.
However, I'm working on a tight budget and this is the list I came up with:
The deck in its current form is inconsistent as it relies on having artifacts / creatures in play just so you can go off. Battle Hymn and Kuldotha Rebirth are both dead cards unless you draw a tokenator / artifact with it.
It needs at least 4-5 mana sources in my experience to go off, that's kinda slow for me. But that's maybe because I've been playing too much ANT and TES in Legacy. =x
I'm shelving the deck for now, but I plan to develop this once again once rotation comes (and I hope it's still a deck when that comes). My favorite play style is combo, after all.
Brimstone Volley is exceptionally nice as some creatures like Lightning Mauler and Doomed Traveler tokens are fragile -- we need to take advantage of this.
I just remembered: Cloudshift can also reset Soulbond pairings. /gg
Kessig Malcontents is a good card if only for its etb ability. I will run a list by Friday sporting two copies paired with four Cloudshift to abuse the etb abbility The list won't be as optimal, though.
I have high hopes for Boros being a competitive deck post-rotation.
And now he comes back this week writing an Modern article using Ponder. The worst part is, there deck has playtest results. Honestly, that smells very fishy. :/
I've been amazed by the sheer power of Hellrider ever since I saw it in my LGS. It seems like a build-around-me card. However, I've only thought of using it in a GR Aggro deck.
WBR seems like a nice approach to the deck. Might I suggest Signal Pest for the deck? It can fill the one-drop spot and can be complete awesomesauce once you get all your tokens out.
Might I also suggest that W spell that flashbacks for R that pumps all your creatures? I forgot the name and I can't seem to find it on Magiccards.info. :/

Some of the cards that I really like with the deck are Cathars' Crusade, Springjack Shepherd, and Increasing Devotion.
Cool synergies:
Cathars' Crusade/Goldnight Commander + Increasing Devotion/Storm Herd/Conqueror's Pledge/Springjack Shepherd/White Sun's Zenith = Mass Pump
Eldrazi Monument + Emeria, the Sky Ruin = Monument Tax pays for itself
Mass Tokens + Pennon Blade/Veteran's Armaments = Ouch
Cards I need to get:
Any comments and suggestions are welcome. Try to keep it within budget, though. I'm just a broke college student.
Thanks!

4 Hellspark Elemental
Lands:

2 Volcanic Fallout
3 Combust
4 Smash to Smithereens
2 Flames of the Blood Hand
That sums up to around $38 (just my budget) on abugames, where we plan to order our cards in a few weeks.
Any suggestions and last minute orders you guys might want me to consider? Thanks for the help.
Tried it out. Hated it.

Which is kinda weird because for the way I like my decks are Combo>Aggro>Control.
Maybe my playstyle doesn't really reflect the colors I like. lol
Anyway, the test was fun.
