I mean at this point we are arguing opinion.
But for EDH a card that relies on your running 3 colors for a typically white tribe can hardly be considered Angel Support just because it brings a very specific angel into play.

Nissa also has other abilities that support elf tribal, so we can't really take that in as much of a vacuum. Its not like this is an angelic Blood speaker Would you consider Pious Kitsune fox tribal?

That all being said I would pray for 5 color Asha, but that is probably just a fantasy.

How funny would it be if a post trying to show how little tribal support Angels have by listing all the cards included a card that wasn't angel tribal on accident, especially if it was the first card on the list... oh that would be histerical!

    Angels need some tribal love!
That is because Angel's Herald IS angel support, specifically for Empyrial Archangel. What you mean in your retort is that its not generalist angel support like Defy Death. Right?

I mean I hate to argue but cards mentioning other cards isn't exactly what is considered Tribal, its just more a reference then creature type assistance.

people still play tribal angels. This is because Angels are a popular card and tribal type. Same can be said about Wizards with the exception of Azami who is mono blue.

Oh really? No Angels matter general? Not one huh I guess Kaalia and Bruna don't exist then, and there are a minor handful of Wizards outside of blue so saying "I don't count Azami." is going for extreme edge cases. Cats are for the most part split between 2 colors. White and Green, and they do not have either a white or green commander that really fits them.

If Cats are not an expected Tribe along with Wizards and Angels then tell me exactly what is expected? Because Elves, Zombies and Gobbos are not exactly expected, they are more. "dear god no."

Kaalia of the Vast isn't even an Angel. Bruna, the Fading Light costs 5WW to cast, has mediocre tribal synergy, and is the worst color identity in the format. Bruna, the Fading Light isn't even in the top 10 mono W played EDH generals.

Expected tribes would be popular tribes that EDH players enjoy playing with. Dragons is a great example of one. Other ones include Zombies, Vampires, Elves, Wizards and Angels.

I think they were referring to Bruna, Light of Alabaster who is a beast in EDH

I am fairly certain they are referring to Bruna, the Fading Light as while inferior to her original she does bring something for Angels while Alabaster is more an aura/enchantment enabler.

I am praying for a legendary werewolf, but with all the bant colored clue cards I would be ever so happy if we got a tri-colored analog of Sherlock Holmes.

Based solely on my account on Salvation I would put this little guy as a commander center piece

    Myr Progenitor 2
    Legendary Artifact Creature -Myr

When Myr progenitor enters the battlefield puts a 1/1 colorless Myr artifact creature token onto the battlefield.

Whenever Myr Progenitor attacks put a 1/1 colorless Myr artifact creature token onto the battlefield. tapped and attacking.

The less time they give us before spoiler season, the more it becomes a release only for those who can spend daddies money or have so much cash they wipe their rears with more than my rent.

Sadly this really becomes the case, but with limited information there is nothing more we can do but a) gamble and go in, b) hold off and hope prices don't go through the roof.

Away from topic, I know others like myself have budgets to keep in mind, one thing I have always tried to strive for is an allocation of money aside to see if MM is what it could be, and if not, well then I have the money saved for other projects. Not an approach for all, but works for me.

that is possibly the most broken thing ive ever concieved. Move over blazing archon

I'd merely have to argue that brokeness really comes down to placing mana cost to an effect like this. Placed at BBB it wouldn't even be fair but closer to the 2BBB and I don't believe its all that bad.

Been a while since I posted, but what the heck, always love some custom card fun

    Yawgmoth's Riddle

Creatures can't attack you or a planeswalker you control unless their controller discards a card for each creature he or she controls that's attacking you. You may draw x cards where x is equal to the number of attacking creatures minus the number of cards discarded this way.

    The only answer is maddness

I would love to see more counter interaction Rakdos style. As for the future maybe throwback sort of flavor Anthem of Rakdos was a blast to play with so maybe an updated version.

    Somthing along these lines.

When ever a creature comes into play under your control you lose 2 life and put a +1/+1 counter

Creatures you control with +1/+1 counters gain haste.

I am still wondering why we got the names of the entire next block at once. Been a while since we've had the name of a set a full year in advance.

One thing, I have always been disappointed with was the introduction of legendary creatures mixed with the new card concept of the M"X" coreset. Now the concept I have been remiss about and continue to hope to see is the return of legendary creatures, that never got an original card.

The flavor aid in bringing back cards they missed with the set while not having to devote an entire block, or really needing a large excuse is something I was hoping for. Point in case I have used as an example is Gix. Gix in the story was a general and commander in Phyrexia and showed up in a wide arrange of cards and and flavor text, but was never given a card.

Now with the death of Gix ages ago there is no reason to really bring him back into the story, and baring some form of screwed up Timesprial madness we'll never see a Gix card printed. That being the case the Core set could prove like a useful area to touch on flavor of the past while introducing new legendary creatures, which they are not afraid to do showing M13.

That all being said, this would take an odd shift in the mind set of the core set and point a game in a backwards looking direction as opposed to looking to the future, but I believe that there are enough Legendary figures in lore that it wouldn't be a waste, just a far fetched plan to begin with.
