Congrats on making Top 8, Dyne ! Is there a reason you want to go back to Thoughtcast for the next tournament? And how did you use your sideboard in your matches? I have a hard time taking out stuff from the main deck.
Blue was a fantastic color for the pre-release. Finished 4-1 with a UG Tempo deck and only lost to a UG Tempo deck with better cards than me (notably 2x Horizon Chimera. This card is ridiculous).
Here's a situation: I have an Ornithopter and an Arcbound Ravager with two +1/+1 counters. Arcbound Ravager dies and Modular triggers: I choose to move the +1/+1 counters to Ornithopter. Can my opponent Lightning Bolt my Ornithopter in response to targetting Ornithopter with Modular?

Thanks guys. Another question (similar one), let's assume I have 4 artifacts on the field and I cast Thoughtcast for U. What happens if my opponent Ancient Grudges one of my artifacts in response to Thoughtcast?
Hey, here's the board state: I have all three Urzatron pieces on my side (one of each copy). I tap the Urza's Tower for but my opponent Beast Withins in response my Urza's Power Plant. Does my Urza's Tower give or ?
Whipflare is a sb card, change them for thoughcasts
Why would I want Thoughtcast? When I have 4 artifacts on the field already, I'm not in a bad position and don't need Thoughtcast to help me. When I don't, it's a dead draw. Sounds like win-more to me.
Cavern of Souls Land (Rare)
As Cavern of Souls enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.
: Add to your mana pool.
: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast a creature spell of the chosen type, and that spell can't be countered.
One of the strongest lands for tribal decks is about to leave Standard in a few months. Like several cards like Liliana of the Veil, it sees play in multiple formats and both casual and competitive players love this card. Of course, it would not be wise to compare a land to the second best planeswalker in the game, but the point is: its power level is high enough to stand a chance at being a Modern- and Legacy-only card.
Its current price is, on average, 21$. What are your predictions for this card's value post-rotation?
Some of you say I should buy my stuff BEFORE Modern Masters (as Modern Masters will only increase Modern's popularity) while some same I should buy my stuff AFTER Modern Masters (as Modern Masters will increase the supply of different cards). I should definitely get into Modern in the next few months, though. The question is whether to get it before or after Modern Masters.
And yes, my only worry is $$$. I don't want to burn 600$ on cardboard that might go to waste if something ends up banned. HOWEVER, the only differences between a Modern Affinity Deck and a Legacy Affinity Deck are the artifact lands and 2x Ancient Tomb, so getting into Legacy wouldn't be too difficult either (I'd say about 20$ extra, 30 more if I end up buying Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas
Thanks for the quick replies. Do banlists update frequently? Chances are I wouldn't be able to get back up if Mox Opal ends up banned or something crucial gets removed from the deck.
I consider getting into Modern soon with an Affinity deck (not a fan of Modern's Gx decks thanks to Tarmogoyf's pricetag). When would be the best time to do so? Here's a few facts to consider:
Mox Opal got a pretty big buff recently and its price jumped a lot, it might actually get banned
Every relevant card for us has been spoiled. So what do we brew with?
Lotleth Troll (good beater that can help us discard creatures for Splinterfright) Deathrite Shaman (the Grim Lavamancer of Golgari) Golgari Charm (cleans up weenies, destroys pesky enchantments and of course regenerates Splinterfright when in a pinch) Treasure Find (deserves discussion) Golgari Keyrune (mana rock that can transform into a Deathtoucher when in a pinch) Jarad's Orders (two benefitting tutor effects) Vraska (it's a BG planeswalker, it deserves some talk here) Abrupt Decay (because it's Abrupt Decay)
Previously, what our deck needed was removal. Now... it needs ways of milling creatures. Is blue really out of question? All we have now is Mulch and Grisly Salvage.

No Thoughtcast? Could you elaborate on this?

And yes, saying "never" is an acceptable answer if Modern really isn't worth it. Please elaborate on your answers.
