My wife's Karamtra deck plays similarly to a white/green goodstuff build with landfall creatures such as Rampaging Baloths and Sporemound. It also has cards such as Terra Eternal and Faith's Reward to protect against MLD because the deck overextends easily with mana.
I currently have a 5-color goodstuff.dec Cromat deck, and experimented with this card. Can honestly say, even though with the situation I was in, casting it as a creature alone is worth it. I was offsetting the life lost from my City of Brass and shocklands, and I was also deterring attacks.
On paper, it seems like a somewhat unreliable form of removal. But, early in the game it can make someone's Gilded Lotus suddenly become a liability, preventing potential explosive plays from the mana sink involved in keeping the card around. With some recursion, it could prove to be constantly annoying and potentially solving any permanent problems if people are not willing to pay for soul tithe's victim. Its CMC is only 2, and it can enchant nonlands. White has more reliable removal options for nonland permanents, but the tax effect can really come into play if people can't let go of what it enchants. Later in the game it loses its usefulness when players have spare mana on hand usually and can afford extra upkeep costs.
What are your experiences with this card? Is it worth a slot in the 99?
One of the biggest things about building a deck is finding the right balance between threats vs. answers. Threats that can also answer problems are a plus! Any EDH deck that doesn't run answers or very minimal answers seems to me like a combo deck or a fast deck that just tries to outspeed the table to win before anything meaningful can come down. If that's not the case, then it would be a real bad situation for the opponent to cruise on through the game unchallenged. ALWAYS pack a healthy dose of answers in your deck.
A good one that comes to mind is Blasphemous Act as you can essentially burn the field with 13 damage for R. Also like Prophetic Bolt for damage and card advantage.

All stop lifegain in its tracks (I love cards that spit in Oloro's face). You could also consider Soul Conduit to benefit from their life gaining.
