Quote from irpotentialHowever, it has exactly 3 ways do deal with artifacts and 3 ways to deal with enchantments (Gate to Phyrexia, Nevinyrral's Disk, Oblivion Stone, All is Dust), so decks that use a lot of them can be very problematic.
I'm sure you already know how great snow-covered lands are with extraplanar lens.
You forgot Phyrexian Tribute. It may not fit any mono black deck, but it works wonderfully in my flavored Balthor deck.
Generally it's in a melee setting, so naturally my deck takes advantage of that (Syphon Mind to name one example).
I really need to have a pile of cards I swap in for tournaments.
Thanks for the ideas!

Wayfarer's Bauble
Sol Ring
Necropotence
Mutilate
Phyrexian Tower (to eat your maga, of course)
Duplicant (eat their ****, or eat your maga to allow a recast)
Doubling Cube (you could argue that it takes a while to get it working, but i've only had great experiences with it in my maga deck.)
Terror (i finally threw in a terror after enough tournament matches where i wanted to destroy a particular creature, and for as little mana as possible)
Shriekmaw
Staff of Domination (unlimited mana combo using magus, as well as it's other wonderful abilities)
Insidious Dreams (just recently added this. i love using it with necropotence so i can build an amazing hand and draw it immediately)
Liliana Vess
Mirari
Yawgmoth's Will
Dread (6/6 fear + no mercy)
Mind Twist
I'll list more later.
My friend plays a very similar EDH deck.
Also, if you switch to Snow-Covered Swamps you could run Scrying Sheets and Extraplanar Lens.
I'd run Vesuva to potentially copy the Coffers.
Slaughter Pact
Woops. After typing those, I realized you wanted the best instants, not necessarily creature removal.
Oh well, I'll update this list later.
