So there is a new toy spoiled in War of the Spark for this deck.
Finale of Promise
It would make counters and discard much worse against the deck and can utilize the graveyard even more without the use of Past in Flames.

Apr 10, 2019Hi there, the concept of this deck is quite established in another thread called "dice factory". If you want to take a look, we also have a discord server where we discuss all the possible cards for our deck.Posted in: Deck Creation (Modern)
Here is a link to the disord if you want to:
Mar 29, 2019Yeah people in the Dice Factory discord are testing this list (or a really close to it). So maybe just join in and see what they are discussing. I personally haven't tested it so I can't give you any insights.Posted in: Deck Creation (Modern)
Feb 18, 2019Well if I went to the combo i never fizzled till now. Tested only something about 20 games at most. The thing is, that this deck is super soft to counterspells. Miracles is a nightmare. But still the deck is really resilient even against hand disruption.Posted in: Developing (Legacy)
It is true that cantrips would improve it alot but i cant see what to replace it with. Furthermore looting is counterproductive, because often you have a hand full of rituals and some way to dig like act on impulse or a draw 7 and you need the cards in a zone where you can play them and with looting you can only play them when you follow with past in flames which is hard to acomplish.
I would tend to implement silence and some fetchlands to the deck to thin the deck out and protect your whole combo turn but that brings the problem where to fit that in. Also i could think of an alternate way for a wincon with trash for treasur into a big dude but i can,t imagine which.
Feb 18, 2019Well i tried the monored version yesterday and had some insight. First i think monored is absolutely ok. But Without ancestral vision Electrodominance is too often a dead card. So maybe i would cut manamorphose for ancestral vision to gain more value out of electrodominancePosted in: Developing (Legacy)
Feb 17, 2019Well the first thing i can come up with is monored storm. So i would play maybe something like this:Posted in: Developing (Legacy)
For the Sideboard I would build something like this:
- 1x Grapeshot
- 1x Empty the warrens
- 1x Reforge the soul
- 1x Wheel of Fate
- 1x Act on Impulse
- 3x Defense Grid
- 2x Goblin Charbelcher
- 2x Shattering Spree
- 3x Chaos Warp
So this is from the top of my head, I never tested it or anything but I can imagine that it could work.
Edit: cardtags for Sideboard
- 1x Grapeshot
Feb 4, 2019Magistrate's scepter is a charge counter sink you can try.Posted in: Deck Creation (Modern)
I often use coretapper as a tempo play: play him, sac him, ramp a rock for 2 and have more mana than the opponent the next turn to power out stuff.
I don't know if you joined the discord yet, but look it up and look at all the archetypes there and get inspired by them.
I, personally, am a player that wants to have a solution for most situations in the game. So that is why i also play planeswalkers as additional threats and for the case if stony silence is on the board.
Feb 4, 2019I can advise to join the Dice Factory discord where we have various forms of dice factory builds including thopter sword builds.Posted in: Deck Creation (Modern)
I have included a 2/2 split in my list that i am currently playing.
About the numbers of everflowing chalice: people tend to play 3 but i still run the full 4.
I don't know if clock of omens is really needed because Filigree Sages exist. With Cornucopia charged to 4 counters makes infinite mana as well, but it is still a creature.
Jan 17, 2019Heskatet posted a message on Cards that should be reprinted to enter the Modern card poolWell the thread is "Cards that should be reprinted to enter the Modern card pool" so I guess theoretically standard is out of question for this.Posted in: Modern
But I agree, if the card is standard safe or not is a different thing, but imo it is not that gamebreaking even in standard.
Jan 17, 2019Heskatet posted a message on Cards that should be reprinted to enter the Modern card poolI wonder why Opposition didn't show up in the new Ravnica block. Would have fit perfectly both mechanics-and storywise to this block. And it's addition to the Modern card pool would be safe in my opinion.Posted in: Modern
So i still want to have Opposition reprinted.
