Cyan is doing that thing where he latches on to someone and construes them to be scum for every action they take. This is more likely a good sign that he is town.

Thor is acting completely different than he did last game - Kami's comment about him seeming "happier" is totally on the mark.
@dC: My questioning Cyan about last game feeds directly into the question I asked this game. He was so off-the-mark about Kami that I wanted to understand what he saw differently this time that would warrant him to be suspicious again. While he got her gender wrong, I understand the point he was making. That, coupled with his rabid attraction to Vierni has me feeling fine about him.
You and Iso have drastically different reads than me at this point, and that's alarming.
I'm going to fence-sit this Vierni wagon and :munch:.
I'll second the calls to eliminate the mafia suicide rule, the forced kill, as well as the 24-hour twilight - basically for all the reasons Prophylaxis listed.
As far as deadline extensions are concerned: as long as the ruling is consistent - I expected to be granted my request in this game because of the ruling on Day 1, for example - I'm okay with them. I'm also perfectly okay with the rule being stated upfront "no extensions" and rolling with it.
FWIW, I was petrified one of the MS folks would check their own wiki and figure out the one role that could be a 'godfather' to the gunsmith.
I actually had a post written up at one point laying out the traitor possibility, but I didn't want to tempt fate since no one seemed to be going too far in the setup balance analysis. I was briefly angry at one point with Thor, too, as I thought he was hinting at the traitor with his "I don't have scumbuddies" post; then I realized he meant because he was town.
Family visiting, so I'll post more thoughts later - but here's the basic rundown from me:
- Pregame: I hate this role.
- Should I claim miller? (That would have been an epic disaster)
- Game: I have a reputation to uphold (I get Day 1 right a lot- 5/6 since returning).
- I pick Thor to distance/bus.
- That ends up consuming most of the day. At that point, hoping for 'tunnel DYH is town read' from MTGS crew. Voxx later obliges, but b/c of inspection.
- The vote/unvote of Cyan was an attempt to gain his confidence by buddying up to him, calling him town. Scenario I referred to was legit, though.
- I get so deep in Thor case I had to ensure he died before me. Thor dead scum = basically cleared me. Me dead traitor revealed = questionable cred for Thor (argument could be I was intentionally trying to get his attention).
I had an ability, I just chose never to use it - I didn't want to accidentally get in the way. I was a Jailer - not a roleblocker.
I expected Voxx to be the kill, so I did not jail him. Jailing Llamarble would have made no sense since his ability triggered during the day (or so he said). Also, was entirely truthful- thought he was bluffing the second shot.
@Vierni: I figured it would happen given the extension from D1 - although I expected three days (# to lynch I believe was used earlier), not four.
Also, I checked to see if I had to commit a kill - to which the answer was no. Cyan's paranoia about all of us being potential scum was probably driving me to that choice (not killing).
@Vi: The correlation with the long save-my-ass post is legit. Nacho basically has been able to manufacture content when needed at critical points during this game, too.
It's possible Thor+Cyan shot llamarble if Thor wanted it badly enough. He strikes me as overbearing, and while Cyan used to be nearly as aggressive, he's not the same bulldog he used to be. Do you think Thor+Nacho shoot llamarble? I'm going to guess yes?
With the deadline ticking, I'm going to place a vote by the end of the today (Wednesday) and que sera, sera.

If I never see "snarky" in a game again it will be too soon.

You'll have to ask Thor for his rendition of Hotel California once the game ends.

I think I nailed it with my analysis on D3.

Deadline is tomorrow night, though, not tonight.
Cyan's lack of effort here is pretty annoying because I think I'm right.
If Vi is scum, so be it. Well-played.
