Thanks for the advice.
In the other post, they told me to use UR Post, using red instead of black, but I'm not sure if it's better than MBC against aggro. As you pointed, MBC runs lots of removal.
I got your point. Actually, I had already consider playing Izzet Post, but I thought Hymn to Tourach was overpowered even against aggro (I guess I was wrong about that). Also, the Hexproof matchup should be very hard for UR Post, right?
Hello guys,
Sometimes I play a semi-casual paper pauper tournament with some friends, and was just wondering which of those 3 lists should be stronger for that purpose.
My meta consists basically in aggro decks (Affinity, White Weenie, GW Hexproof, Infect, Slivers), Delver, and few control (MUC and a Mill deck). There is NO 8-posts decks there.
I heard UB Trinket is an updated and more drawing (therefore more powerful) version of MBC (they play likewise), but I dunno if this statement is still valid with the addition of Hymn to Tourach in both lists, since MBC can cast it T2 more consistently. Also, there's the Dimir Post option (since I won't get Land hate, no one expects a 8-Post deck there, but DPost doesn't run discard - Hymn).
Well, which list do you think is the best?
Thank you.
P.S: I posted this in both MTGO and PAPER PAUPER sections because MBC and UB Trinket (Dimir Post is totally MTGO pauper) decks are almost the online version, but the swap of Augur for Hymns. I guess some Paper players may not read the MTGO section and vice-versa.
Hello guys,

I know this is a MTGO pauper section, but for printed pauper I just cut 4 Augur of Skulls from online list and add 4 Hymn to Tourach in both MBC and UB Trinket, so, my question is still valid for MTGO versions.

Hi everyone.
I saw this deck yestarday and I think it's pretty interesting.
Would like to see some more experienced comments and criticism about it.
Thank you.
Going to play a Paper Pauper tournment with some friends and MBC seems pretty strong for that. But, how would a MBC Paper Pauper list (without Sinkhole, too expensive) look like?? I know I can swap 4 Ravenous Rats for 4 Hymn to Tourach, but does the less creature count and Hymn mean a different playstyle/list?
I'm going to play a casual Paper Pauper tournament with some friends (10 man) and still don't know if I should play Burn or MBC (with hymn to tourach).
Thank you for the reply.
About sideboarding in Esper Planeswalkers, in wich MUs do we side in GoST? Don't they usually keep their sweepers game 2 to handle our tokens?
Don't tap out on your turn without an incredibly good reason. It's only for emergencies. Be patient.
Run enough lands to make your first 6-7 land drops with frightening consistency. Mana flood is almost a contradiction in terms for U/B control, especially if you have draw cards in hand or in the grave.
Nephalia Drownyard is your main wincon no matter what else you run. Be patient.
DO NOT drop a Planeswalker or Consecrated Sphinx/Grave Titan/Wurmcoil Engine until you have at least enough mana out to Mana Leak/Negate/Dissipate a counter or removal spell. Be patient.
It's ok to stabilize at 2-3 life, you'll be surprised how often you win games with 2-3 life by mill. Be patient.
You need to know your opponent's decks well enough to know what your real enemies are. A good player will try and bait out your counters first, and then drop what they really want to ruin your day with afterwards.
Oh yeah, and be patient.
This information also helped me. But, what about Esper Planeswalkers? Should I have a counter to safe play a PW? I think an early PW is the right play, right??
