    No, Standard is a bad format. I don't evaluate cards based on it.


    No Modern and Eternal are bad formats considering you're lucky if 5% of the cards from any new set can even make an impact on them.


    Yeah, because for the most part new sets are super weak. I'm sorry, but standard is bad.

    If you print playable general LD, you will actually shift the metagame towards more ramp, as a counterweight against the LD.

    I really like that design! That being said....LD should be a thing in standard.

    LD should be good (not necessarily instant)
    Counter spells should be good
    Discard should be good
    Removal should be good (at lower rarities)
    those things balance each other out....instead we get Creatures: the gathering with situational (bad) removal at lower rarities and decent removal at rare and mythic.

    Yes it is. Holding Red + White is really awkward because most of the builds on this thread are green based. I have an all dual, shock, fetch manabase and I know that I don't have that mana sitting there being unused. Triple White is not difficult to get because once again, all dual, shock, fetch manabase.
    LOL. So, one again, have R/W open is awkward but having TRIPLE W open with all the duals shocks ect ect in a green based deck is not? That makes little sense. It's much better to nullify an opponents land destruction by surprise than to throw out Avacyn. Not saying she doesnt have her place but I think boros charm is better.

    I prefer to use all of my mana each turn.
    That's understandable but this is THE ramp deck, it shouldn't be that difficult to hold a red and a white....you can even use the charm to protect from your own wipes.

    So, Avacyn gets exiled by path....so what. Almost all creatures do, so just don't play creatures in EDH?
    Don't rely on a creature that could just get removed before or in response to a wipe because you don't want to leave two mana open.

    Doesn't seem worth trying. Especially if you have to bank on holding up a red + white mana up each turn.

    Yeah, I don't think it's that good either, actually...but animist's awakeningis in the primer so I figured I would mention it.

    I have played Karador for years and I play it as sort of a toolbox with combo finisher. I don't think the swords are necessary for a deck like this....they seem like win more, and you have utility creatures that can be recurred for the same effects. I don't run fleshbag either....but I run a handfull of kill spells. Also, spore frog is an mvp.

    In edh this card is super bad for the tutor, play bad clue cards to make this better? Sure, my opponents can go ahead. That being said, I actually really like the fact that it makes a clue artifact every turn that you can sac to draw. I think that's where the appeal of this card is...not the bad tutor.

    Ugh, definitely not going to be vindicate("too good for standard", hits lands), maybe an uncommon utility like mortify(hopefully, but i doubt), probably a utility card at mythic, knowing Wizards.
