    Mind racing and a seemingly permanent smirk on his face Finn gathers his power and then flings his hand outward as a flurry of wind and water erupt from seemingly nowhere forcing the phantasmal creatures to submit and summarily vanish

    Hopping on the illusory beast Finn rides it over to the other island as he sees it take a swipe at the bubble with a single flick of it's tail.

    OOC: In more metagame terms the serpent would t attack the Bubble which would protect the mentor but in turn have be sacrificed.....thus completing the second objective of reaching the mentor and popping the bubble yes I am counting the mentor being on an opposite island to mean that he "controls the island" lol

    Out from the off putting Hangmans crossing and onto the oddly named Sorrow's Trail. Emeric looked around taking in the scenery as he approached the town, however before he got there he saw an unusual creature,clearly a ghost, but unlike ay creature he had seen thus far, even in the statue room. Curious he approached the spectral figure hand raised in greeting to see why this creature was staring out here.Looks like he had another mystery on his hands.

    The goblin freed and now two gold richer, Emeric nods at the goblin and makes a note of the new route. He also realizes that the oddly flightless faerie is heading in the same direction as him. After a bit of debate, Emeric opted to instead head down the sorrows Path toward the goblins house,perhaps this goblin of this Fantaff may lead him to some less known crystals, worth investigating at least.

    As he continued down the mp he felt the subtle shift in the energy of this place. He felt the cold dark energy tinged with the fetid air of decay. many things had died here over the years, and as he came to the center of the cross roads he saw the instrument that had brought the death and decay that permeated the air. Swinging there was goblin seem to be caught in the noose. Feeling...what was the word? Sorry for the creature he resolved to free it. The question was how? Emeric searched for options and found that he could access the energy of this area same as he had the crystal. His hand swirled out in front of him as it gatheredthe enrgy of death and decay that permeated the gallows as slowly a vile black cloud with flashes of green gathered in his hand.

    Emeric then became aware that there was another creature that approaching one of his former vatborn that had taken the form of a different creature...a fairie...that was the word for it, though one that was curiously flightless. However for now Emeric focused on the swirling energy as he could feel pullign against him as he continued to pull it in to him, the death ad decay of generations past as he then released unto the rope that held the goblins noose.

    This device has been the architect of years of death ad decay, and that shall be repayed in kind.

    Assuming the spell is successful....

    The energy fed into the noose and rapidly decayed the rope and the gallows allowing the formerly strangled goblin to drop to the ground now free of his entrapment.

    Emeric listened to the mans exposition.
    Once the man was done Emeric briefly nodded and said " My thanks."

    He then made his way toward the caverns in the east. He was going to continue on when a thought came to him. The man had only talked abut the crystals they knew of not ones that he didn't know of. If these crystals held the magic power that he had spoken of, then there could easily be ones close to this village, right under the villagers nose. Keeping that in mind he set about exploring the caverns seeing if he could find something of interest or perhaps clues that might lead him to a less obvious crystal.

    The rush of power fading as the former vatborn removed his hand and looked at it as if for the first time. He now knew what form he had taken. It was known as a Merfolk, it was creature that was often found under the waves, but it seemed like had had copied a variant native to this that was able to function on land as well. He tilted his head slightly and then spoke for the first time

    "Fascinating"


    He felt a rush of knowledge come to him as he listened to the guide as he spoke of wars long past. Was this new information? or had he always known and the crystal merely unlocked it. He was unsure. However it seemed that whatever it had done each one had solidified and changed his former brethren. The Satyr seemed full of questions, while others more focused on their own goals, even a minotaur that was already thirsting for battle. This raised many questions, but these were perhaps questions for someone more philosophical than himself. He soon found that he didn't much care for the existential unanswerable questions and more concrete ones

    However at the mention of a name, the former vatborn thought on this for a bit before soon from the depths of his mind a name emerged as he tried it on for size

    "Emeric."

    It sounded right

    "Yes, Emeric will suffice."


    He listened to the guide explain more of the world and the wars that raged upon it. Emeric found that he cared little for the war and its effects, however he did find that he was certainly very curious about these crystals and there was perhaps even an undercurrent of competition and greed. One of these crystals had unlocked much in him and his brethren, what could more of these crystals unlock within him? He quietly made his way down the path to Gunlunshire.

    If it's cool with you Snow I'm gonna go ahead and skip to the Davison Lanke portion...assuming no random encounters of course.

    Finding his way to the ruined town of Gunlunshire, Emeric looked around and took stock of this place and the poor state it was in. He soon found the guide's contact,Davison Lanke leaning against the ruined building as he was explaining more on these crystals to a few former vatborn and Emmeric moved closed to listen in. Once Davison had finished his story Emeric paused and asked

    "Excuse, but might you know any possible crystal or rumors of such towards the...."
    he paused and thought of the rocky beach " east?" he asked, figuring it would be the best place to start and given the merlfolk form he had choosen he miight have the edge if there was."

    Many choices stood before him. The crystals each radiating with their own power. However as the Vatborn debated which one to adhere to his attention was drawn to the blue crystal as from it's misty depths he saw his own reflection emerge and beckon him forward. The Vatborn walked closer and closer to it and saw that it was like him and yet not like him. This reflection seemed more confident and sure of it's purpose. As the vatborn reached out to the crystal he saw it ripple outward as his reflection also reached their hand met on the reflective surface of the blue crystal and then.....

    The power flowed through suddenly and all at once as his hand sunk into the crystal as if it was no more solid than water as it felt like something was pulling him under. The power from the crystal rushed through him as he felt as if he was sinking further in as his reflection seemed to be pulling up, the world around him blurred as he felt as if he was being torn apart, and then suddenly knowledge hidden within him flooded to the forefront like a wave.

    If there was a word for what the Vatborn was feeling, it would perhaps be disappointment. Despite it's formlessness, the vatborn enjoyed its versatility. So as he flowed amongst the staues, he saw forms of strength and forms of fear-inspiring viasages however none that appealed to it.

    Until...

    The Vatborn stopped at a statue. It was a humanoid creature whose gills,fins, and webbed fingers signified that it would thrive underwater and yet it stood on two legs and seemed equally comfortable on land. The creature was kneeling beside a pool of water. its finger dipping into the water. The Vatborn moved closer and saw that the pool of water was spinning around and around by it's own accord. Around and around it spun, and the Vatborn couldn't help but be mesmerized by it.

    Around and around...

    The Vatborn suddenly grew alarmed and pulled away from the pool as he realized what was happening. However after the surprise faded a new emotion set in.

    Happiness.

    Yes, this creature here seemed to posses the versatility and the cunning this Vatborn required. Stepping back up to the pool the Vatborn slid an oozy limb into the pool as his form began to shift and change into a duplicate of the kneeling creature.

    Zumm: Living fast and dying young is more than a state of mind on this plane. An high influx of red mana has caused the plane to be in constant motion. Nomadic human tribes wage fast and bloody wars for constantly shifting territory. Primitive leonin tribes hunt and are hunted by the hypersonic predators of the Moving Jungle. Meanwhile goblins roam around capturing other species to ritually sacrifice to the elementals that dwell in constantly volcanic mountain ranges. However the plane and its people are beginning to rapidly break down.

    Chaos Reign: The situation looks bleak for Glem Arkadia as the Eons attempt to save thier plane has failed and Thantrax has corrupted the Eons in twisted versions of their former selves. With few friends and many enemies the newly ascended planeswalker Isos makes his way to ancient Island of Ij'yama, where legend has it that an ancient weapon is kept sealed: a weapon that could slay even a Eon, however Thantrax's legion is in hot pursuit. Will Isos manage to slay Thantrax or fall to the madness?

    Parallax: The Enlightened Council has been unmasked by Theleios and the rioting crowd has invaded Skymarch City, but the Parallaxing Vault has been activated and it's now sucking the last mana from the dying plane of Clegohn to create a passage to Trigodora, a rich and prosper new world. Many aristocrats and nobles were killed during the Uprising and the last survivors barricated themselves in the giant Castle of Thowpega in order to escape to the new plane. The Parallaxing Vault is almost ready and Cleghon's time is running short: will Theleios be able to defeat Aziam and her greedy ambitions and grant salvation for all inhabitants of the plane?
