A reprint in a core set is out of the question, they already stated a full cycle of 10 duals is too big for a core set AND they want all combinations in the block to balance the mana base of the block format :>
They could print the allied-colored fetches in the core set and the enemy-colored ones in the next large fall set (like M12 and Inistrad block). However it seems unlikely.
As much as I hope that the next fall set will have fetches, I can't really imagine them doing so if a return to Zendikar is on the table. Fetches were thematically tied to Zendikar as shocks are tied to Ravnica. It would be odd to have fetches in a non-Zendikar set, and a new set of dual lands the next time we revisit Zendikar. Since the next fall set is rumored to be Khanar, that would mean a year and a half at the least until fetch lands are reprinted (assuming Wizards isn't putting them in the core set). The worst thing they could do is reprint fetch lands in a very limited product like Modern Masters 2.
What do you think caused these wild attendance numbers (2900 and climbing)? Is it the natural growth of Modern? Regional or seasonal interest? Heavy advertisement and involvement from StarCity Games? Printing of Modern Masters (personally loved the set)? Or the perfect storm of all of those things?
And then you remember how many decks are legitimately kneecapped by MM, and how everyone would be running MM to preempt MM.
It could've been an acceptable card... if it weren't for the fact any deck could run it for the low cost of 2 life. Really needed some kind of color identity limiter to it, like proof that you are a blue deck looking to cast it fairly.
Eh? I was always under the impression that MM was on the Modern inaugural banlist ie. never got a chance. What you're referring to is MM's impact on Legacy. Or maybe in Extended? Maybe someone would give me insight on the circumstances of MM's ban in Extended?
Why is everyone so scared of Mental Misstep? I don't believe every deck has a extra-low curve that centers around 1 and 2. I don't think it'd even be as good as in Scars-Innistrad standard (saw some main deck play) because UW delver's curve was wicked low. Am I crazy or what? I guess it's fine to stay on because I don't think it's necessary for the format, but I think it's a fairly innocuous card in a format where midrange decks rule.
Huh, it says on her account page the art was made for a contest: The Rift create - a- colossus contest. This has nothing to do with Magic and frankly I don't think this looks thaaat Eldrazi-like.
I'm amused that they keep using the word "franchise" because that makes it seem that they are confident that the movie will do well enough for a sequel. They have more confidence than I do that's for sure.
Bronze Sable has a shiny new creature type.

It the oracle rulings says so for dark depths.
Edit: Beat to the punch!

You mean, playing the same role as in the Sorcerer's Apprentice (maybe with even more questionable hair)?
