There was never really a case presented against Gricky. He pushed wagons in the appropriate places and didn't raise any suspicions. But we can agree to disagree, RobRoy certainly played an impressive game.

A bit belated, but thanks to SharkFinnigan, RobRoy, Raging Levine & Wheat_Grinder for replacing in.

Also very, very late thank you to GDan for the game (even though I placed out). Also, for all the replacements who filled in. I enjoyed reading the game from time to time to catch up on things and see how everything was going.

I kinda have to agree that Gricky did a good job from start to finish, Rob was an excellent player though and did what he could to make his team win.

One thing that I'm surprised NO one caught was this.

Second, you make a note where Voxx calls something interesting. It reminded me of Trisk mafia, basic 62, where Iso stated that Interesting is a scumword, along with Honestly. I was scum in that game and had to really work to not use those words in every post.

Especially since IB had brought up Trisk as the game in question about me forgetting what Millers were. He and Gricky were Mason buddies in that game. Rolleyes

I do not think that I will have a spectator QT, as the last vanilla mafia needed a ton of replacements, and with the playerbase today, it seems as though I want as many potential players as possible.

    You missed this, Foxxy. Wink

Yeah I did Wink Oh well, another time.

    Seconded Smile

I'm still unable to make a commitment to any games right now but would like to spectate if available?

    Quote from Simon MD

Curious about the topic if you listen to your parents music and what they think about yours

I grew up listening to primarily my Parents music when I was a kid. Mom was more normal songs of the era (Beach boys, Mamas & Papas, Beatles, etc) but my dads tastes also went into hard rock, metal and alternative (Kraftwerk, Zeppelin, etc). They both listened to classical on occasion.

I still listen to some of it even now Wink Because of the huge variety of styles I listened to when I was younger my musical tastes now is rather eclectic Cool

If my Dad was still alive (he died when I was a kid), I think he would really enjoy some of the songs I have right now. Mom died several years ago, but as I was growing up I could usually find songs she would enjoy. I found at least a few artists she enjoyed as much as I did.

I don't have children yet, but of course I would like them to listen to the same music as I do. Forcing them to, I would not do. Influencing them I will however... hehe.

No kids either...just a niece. Her music taste is her own, but just a bit random. I've corrupted her a bit Grin but she has a terrible fondness for J-Pop Frown She's in the choir so she does have a taste for classics as well.

I know that music can really be an issue in family or with friends.

I never really understood this. Maybe because I'm really bad at communicating a lot of times and music is that ONE thing that can "speak" when you can't. Everyone has different taste in music, it's why there is SO much out there. It's good to have different tastes in music, hopefully you open up to new things and are pleasantly surprised on occasion Grin

The idea of having a child is something that really makes me happy, but puts me in disgust at the same time.

    Can anyone give a perspective?

I'm late 30's and I'm in the same boat, in regards to kids in general. I've always called kids a parasite, since they are supported by mom until birth, then Parent(s) after which wins me no friends Wink I think they can be great, or a terror. My neighbors kid is adorable and I love spending time with her. My niece was usually pretty good, but she had her moments of terror and temper tantrums.

If you are a parent, you can damage your kids unknowingly even while doing the best you can for them. Which is something I've been dealing with personally, and it's been a worry about having kids (along with passing along crappy health issues) Wink

    Quote from cme
    Briefly:
    • In my experience, almost everything everyone says about kids is true. They are extremely expensive in terms of energy, time and money. But they are still rewarding. (Think of them as providing fulfillment, instead of happiness.)
    • Children have measurably better outcomes when they are from a stable home.
    • Since your parents divorced and remarried, you are far likelier to divorce yourself.
    • Learn how relationships work. Learn how to fight fairly. Learn that love is not an emotion but choosing to treat someone else like you love them even when you're pissed at their behavior.
    • When you choose to marry someone, you choose to marry who she is, as well as who she will become. My wife is not the same person I married. People change their minds about things, even really important things like whether or not you want to have kids.

Bolded really important parts, but its a pretty much a good sum up. My parents didn't divorce, but my Dad died when I was 12. Mom turned workaholic (so we didn't see her much) for the next 2-3 years until she remarried and we moved out state. Step dad was kinda an ass.

Someone also mentioned love can overcome everything is pretty much a myth as well. I was with someone for over 15 years and we grew apart. We still care for each other, but couldn't overcome the changes that time brought. Break down of communication over the years, he didn't "fight fare" and I hold grudges Wink He now lives in another state with a few casual partners and friends. Had we had a child, I would have kept it since he was never really interested in children.

Flip side, I helped raise my niece a while when she was younger. Because of that everyone thinks I would make a GREAT parent. It was mostly just treating her mostly like a small adult. I remembered that kids are way smarter than people give them credit for. If you say you are going to do something, follow through. Just because they are small, doesn't mean they are stupid.

I go to a therapist who has a prominent tat on her arm (Asian carp), while it CAN be covered by long sleeves she usually wears short sleeves and is also displaying it in her "headshot" for her website.

I think it's a matter of people who think tats are a problem won't come to see you, problem solved.

@ Asenion - I believe there are a few of the ongoing games that need replacements. Make a post in the thread about seeking replacements that you are interested (if you are). Smile it's also a good way to get started in a game now and have some experience.

Good luck on your game Zindy!

@ DRey - I'm not setting myself up for an honesty BS tell but I don't recall lying in a game yet. I'm bad at it and my memory is sheet. The reasons I said (after N2 or whatever) was exactly how I was thinking, as I said...I do crazy **** as town :p I had just got out of Vamp with AE and he was town and also said not too much.

I also would have been more willing to listen to you (based on pinkys play) if it wasn't for all your really bad cases that you started making on me. It was really what tipped the scales between you two. Zindy when he replied...there was something about his replies that reminded me of Iso in Trisk where he was all smooth talker.

Phone post so keeping it short. I thought long And hard about using dark cult, but it was one of those catch 22. I didn't think I'd be a NK target :p I also figured that all they needed to do was use tabernacle to override it as well. Basically, it would have been a pointless gesture. I'd still be dead Grin

I did ask Dagger if you could stack protection, but you couldn't. So if say several people had purchased protection for grey would he had MORE protection. But yeah, didn't work that way Wink it was going to be my sneaky plan on shark or grey Frown

I'll add more when I'm at my computer Smile

    Vote Nis

Based on the read through I was able to do (already posted). Nis D1 play was bad but it improved, it COULD be because be had coaching help over the night phase. I would also be happy with a lynch on DRey because some of pinkys play, interactions with Wheat and the smear tactics.

I wanted to do more analysis these last couple days but RL all that. I agree with Zindy, I hope this is the right choice.

Also DRey, I'm town and perfectly capable of counting in regards to lylo AND have been playing shorter amount of time. There are even a few posts about it, so again...why didn't YOU know?

Also apologies for not working on more analysis. It was actually busy at work yesterday and I'm likely getting sick...joy. I'll do what I can though.

    Phone post :p

@DRey - what you just said does not in fact make sense. You should remember that I REPLACED in for MirrorE since I complained that a lot of your early (weak) case was based on his lurkyness. So, I have not been here since day 1.

The laugh in response to giving AE coin, as I said, I do some crazy ****.

And the Vig shot hasn't actually been USED so I don't think Dagger would be posting it as yet (guessing).

Finally, I claimed my coins several posts ago.

Feel free to correct me on this DRey. I took it as him asking the mod if there is one scum left after today, which means we lynch scum today, can that scum both vig and NK someone. It seemed like a valid question to me.

I'm pretty sure that question was already answered previously as well...somewhere in the thread. It was also hinted at by Wheat when he placed in. I remember I mentioned it in my read through....though I just looked aaaand apparently not <sigh> grrrrr MSWord. Mad

I'm at work so don't have my original....Basically, Wheat had mentioned in a post that the scum had every reason to get both the cop & vig shot. We know now that the scum *HAVE* gotten 2 of the investigations already. What I had said was that it was something of a depressing thought that if we mislynch town...we lose right then and there. If we lynch scum YAY!!! we don't auto lose and get an extra day to plan, but the scum will get the NK and Vig if they already have it. While not making the town auto lose, it puts us right back at lylo which is yes...a rather depressing thought.

I also think is really strange to keep posting elsewhere while you ignore the game that's probably in lylo...

*probably* in lylo? PROBABLY in lylo, but how could you not be aware that we are...in fact...in lylo? OMG

(I do however agree that AE needs to pay more attention to this game and or post more)

When I said that I believed you to be wrong about Foxlet too, considering just this Day I felt she was town because she was actually trying to do something while most of the guys were busy doing nothing. Now that I believe Fox to be scum you were only wrong about: Iso and PB/me. Not much but certainly far from your game on Ender where I don't remember you being wrong about anything.

Rolleyes So only everyone else has the ability to be wrong except me...got it. For the record, I am still trying to do something weather you like it or not. Shrugs Ignoring it all doesn't make it go away it just makes you look bad.

It's not BS, I've done this successfully before so I tend trying to repeat past successes. I have already explained why I didn't try to analyse the quotes but that's a idea I dig.

I think the general idea is, at least in my opinion was "everyone hey look at these posts" and then sitting back and letting the shenanigans proceed as the town point fingers and cast suspicion on each other. By not wanting to *express* your opinion it's as if you don't want to be put in the spotlight to be challenged on it. Which is what any sort of what any analysis does...it puts you in the spotlight. Right or wrong. You will have to defend it.

It totally can be, because town can lie too so even though Shark said he was ready and was committed to the plan he could have not followed it.

Again, you have only proven that he was following the plan. You never proved, and I doubt never will that he said "I am sending a coin to grey". As I mentioned previously, I thought it was a stupid idea to have someone who was supposed to SAVE coins to then SEND them. The whole thought of Shark sending a coin after I mentioned that wasn't really brought up again.

In any case there's no way for townFox to ever give a coin to one of her scumreads.

    Laugh

But I'm pushing for AE lynch today not yours, why do you say there will be no tomorrow since you have no way to know AE's alignment, haven't you recently said you believe AE is scum? Is that so?

One of the things I noticed when reading last night (and it's in my analysis I believe) was Wheaties mentioning that the scum saying that the scum team basically have every reason to get the investigations AND vig shot. Which is a depressing thought. Because no, I don't know AE's alignment...But everyone (except you apparently) know we are in lylo. If the scum DO in fact have Vig shot now...we have a good chance of losing even if we lynch correctly today. So yeah, it's a rather depressing thought.

    Quote from DRey
Hipotetical situation: if there's only one scum and he has activated the vig guild can him NK and vig on the same night?

Wow...respect plummeted. That's like everyone in Vamp going Yeah there are totz 3 SK, a Vig AND A CULT...it's totally balanced! Rolleyes

Sorry, 2 scum team in a set up like this...not buying it, deflect more! Tongue

    Quote from DRey
I think we are pretty near confirming my towniness, and that's why Fox unvoted, she noticed it and hoped no one notice, but it's too late. It's now a fact that if I'm scum, Fox and AE are town. And since I've showed again and again it's pretty much certain AE is scum, and very likely Fox is too.

Facepalm Psh, how could I hope no one noticed. It's not like you can edit posts. It's going to be there FOREVER (or at least as long as the forums survive). So...did you REALLY just claim scum? Laugh
