    So it's like Thriving Grove, but snow instead of green. That's interesting. Do you think this might still be worth it to swap? I'm thinking, because it's more obvious that it's not just for green decks.
    I mean, Thriving Grove is part of a cycle, so I don't think it replaces it directly, and will only fix one color of mana instead of 2.

    If you don't have space to run all five, I'd probably run this instead of one of them.

    I definitely don’t want this and Falkenrath Aristocrat, but I’m not actually sure it’s worse. It doesn’t have haste, but it’s more likely to grow, and gets out of bolt range after only one tap. It’s at least close enough that I’m willing to test.

    I think that's it at it's best - in a grindy matchup where you stick it for one turn then leave it in exile until it's gonna draw you 3+ cards. Once it's in exile only a stifle effect will stop you from drawing cards.
    I don't even think a stifle effect will work, at least not effectively. You'll have to stifle it while it's still in exile without knowing what the owner will do. It's all one ability, so it'll either be in exile with the ability on the stack or on the battlefield with the +1/+1 counters and the extra cards in your hand (or you choose to add a counter when it resolves and it stays in exile).

    Ah, that makes it less compelling for me, and probably makes it a miss (although it makes it a more reasonable card).

    This is really weird, and I'm not sure if it's a miss or not. I'm not convinced the "right" play in many blue decks wouldn't just be to exile it every turn in your upkeep and turn your land drop into an extra draw and always have a 3/5 on defense.

    The vehicle side is neat, but it doesn't have any form of evasion, and Smuggler's Copter is the only other vehicle in my cube as well.

    I'm on the fence, but it might be worth a test.

    Well, this seems like a pretty easy include for me. A 2/1 for 1 that can make a 1/1 Human Warrior token for 1W once/turn if it attacks?

    I — Create a 4/4 white Angel Warrior creature token with flying and vigilance.
    II — Until end of turn, Angels you control gain "T: Destroy target creature with less power than this creature."
    III — Angels you control gain double strike until end of turn.

    I'm having a lot of trouble evaluating this, but it seems pretty wild. If the angel you control is destroyed and you have no other Angels, then the rest of the saga is neutered, but otherwise this gives you a Serra Angel, then gives it the ability to destroy a creature with power 3 or less the turn after while still attacking, then gives it double strike. Orzhov is pretty stacked, so this likely won't make it in, but it is a lot of value if the Angel sticks around. And if you have other Angels...

    If the Chromatic Lantern effect had a lower threshold (like 4 lands), then I'd be interested. Usually the fixing pinch points occur well before I have six lands in play, so I'm not sure how much help it would be providing.

    This seems like...a lot. It gives your burn spells a lot of reach. I thought it initially just burn-trample, but if your opponent has 3 1/1s, you can Bolt the first, Toralf can do 2 damage to the second, and then 1 damage to the third. The back side being a slow Volcanic Hammer with buyback is also cool, and since it returns itself, you can play the creature later if you need. Definitely looking into a cut to test this one.

    This text is really messy and I’m not a fan of how over-designed it feels. That being said, it was pointed out to me that this enables the persist combo if you have a persist creature and a sacrifice outlet. Worth considering depending on how heavily you support persist and how comfortable you are with devoting a Simic slot to a 5-mana enabler.

    This is in a somewhat awkward spot since it dies to bolt, but it compares somewhat reasonably to Gisela, the Broken Blade, which I only cut somewhat recently. Black doesn't really have the same level of access to high-quality fliers that white does, and this plays well with recursive creatures. You can even activate the ability before blockers are declared to clear out a blocker.

    The hexproof from planeswalkers is sort of trinket text, but it does stop ~15 or so planeswalkers from interacting with it. I'm considering taking it for a spin.

    I'm interested in this one, but we'll see how it plays out. In addition to the cards JinxedIdol mentioned, I still run Mirror Entity, and we might get some playable changelings/giants in this set also. I think that'll make or break it for me, but I'm optimistic.
