ehh, I'm an optimist generally. While positive thinking can be powerful, it isn't helpful when used to ignore problems.

    What? How Suspicious...

The most confusing this is the "name space" stuff but otherwise it's comprehensible to anyone, well, who can read; I mean, you wouldn't expect a newborn to ... well, of course...

    Fry

Comparing my intelligence to a newborn? I don't see how that is helpful to anyone.

If you must know the truth, I was trying to be polite. Your writing style is needlessly byzantine, soporific and generally weird. But hey, you asked! Shocked

As a token of good faith, I have restored - not his (Tordeck's a he?) information but - the information on his clan. Initially, it was essentially no strings attached; but, as I don't want a repeat of this, I have stipulated that the page must conform to standards of quality.

    Thumbs Up

I don't have a horse in this race. I simply noticed that the wiki still had some non-vital information, and wondered what the OP needed to do to make his page work.

Considering how well received it was and how much input the staff gave, I would except that wouldn't happen. Megs did post 3 whole sentences while dismissing it.

That is true. It is essentially the same concept as well.

    Xen-
The gutter changed a lot over the years. Drama and trouble making were unquestionably a non-issue for a long time. The moment drama happened? When it was announced that the gutter was being closed. It was pretty much clean sailing before that though.

Naa, I've grown to respect you through this... process. Whatever it is we are processing here.

I'm sorry, but we have a bunch of ex-mods patting themselves on the back, while eyeing a rightfully upset userbase with open contempt.

Look, I would love to join in the group hug fest. There is nothing I would like more than a Group Hug

but a big community here was just eviscerated, and I don't know what to do.

You guys want healing? Well how about giving that massive wound a bit of tender loving care? I'll group hug you guys right in the feels if we can make some real progress.

the users are acting like petulant little brats with an inkling of power on a tiny spec of the internet, destroying something I helped (and many others) create many years ago

    Petulant little brats...

You sound like a brat yourself right now mister. A sanctimonious brat, and not the only one. You are not helping the problem.

I really don't have anything else to add to what Az said. I can't be that eloquent but I want to emphatically agree in a way that simply "thanking" his post can not.

However, I will echo something that I said before. If there was any actual damage, the greatest victims are a handful of banned members who were trying to fight for something they care for when months of hard work, reason, and logic failed them.

User burnout is an unfortunate one whenever it happens, but it's an unavoidable side effect of staff treating the user/staff relationship as antagonistic and acting accordingly.

I agree. If these malicious attacks have any victims at all, I can count them on one hand. Wink

Thankfully, none of our hands are tied in this matter. Wrongs can be made right, if that is desirable.

All any of us truly want as this point is the sql dumps of the gutter so that we can move tbgte. It will take all of five minutes.

Then again, if we are considering non-heal supports, whats to stop us from using any bursty, stunny character as a support. Leblanc support for silly early game nukes, build triple GP10 and snowball. Or be a man with a spartan spamming spears off of a rushed philo stone (start regrowth pendent and its yours in no time) and you can get a more consistent nuke/stun harrass than leona can since, I dunno bout you, I find her gap closer really easy to dodge.

You can do some wonky supports and make them work so long as you aren't in super competitive play and are organized with your laning partner. I've won the lane with Yorick support of all things. Lately, I play Maokai and secure those early kills; works great with a more damage oriented jungler. Try Annie support sometime and just outright kill the other lane. I mean, a two bruser bottom kill lane can pretty much counter the ranged carry + support meta if you play it right.

You know what the hilarious part about all of this is... if the staff had just been out in the open in the first place, then this wouldn't have blown up in their faces in the first place.

    Bingo!

It doesn't take a leak to let me know that there is a big ole thread in the ML right now talking about damage control. Maybe someone tossed out the phrase unified front? Pretty good odds on that, but it doesn't matter. It really doesn't.

What does matter is to not be disingenuous in the fist place.

Worried about looking morally upright in public? The easiest way to appear morally upright is to be morally upright!

As far as the whole curse guys telling you that the gutter had to be closed? The fact that they wanted it to look like the idea came from inside sallys own staff and not from an outside force? You think that tied your hands? No. No, it did not. When you're faced with new leadership that forces you to lie, you have a choice to go along with it or not. The sucessful exodus from News speaks for itself. The gutter was wronged in all this, and our leaders stood up for it.

They, especially Kpaca, are wrongly banned from this site. But that's okay. They did the right thing in the face of adversity. Now we have our own site up and running.

I guess you could theoretically avoid testicular cancer by snipping your balls too. Not that either are exactly what I would call good ideas.

I personally have no personal problem with Nai. He's alright with me, and I believe that he truly puts the community first. However, there are some toxic staff members, and I'm not talking about snitches.
