If you are on a budget I'd honestly say this isn't the easiest deck to build but it could be very fun if you have a lot of the materials for it already.

    Here is my current build

    4 isolated chapel
    4 cathedral of war
    2 vault of the archangel
    7 swamp
    7 plains
    2 duty-bound dead
    3 despise
    3 knight of glory
    3 knight of infamy
    3 aven squire
    2 liliana of the veil
    3 dismember
    3 vampire nighthawk
    4 o-ring
    2 sorin lord of inistrad
    3 sublime archangel
    4 tezzeret's gambit
    2 sun titan
    1 Wurmcoil engine

I know its at 62 cards but the tezzeret's gambit allow for a few extra cards. the Knights combined do allow for a bit of fun against b/w tokens, mono black vampires, early game UB zombies, black spot removal, and o-ring, oh and white humans. Also the nighthawks and the wurmcoil make paying the life for gambit and dismember not as big a worry.

Now for a few suggestions people have made. Some have said Ajani cause he does work great for the flying or the +1/+1 counters but in the end the removal from liliana and the tokens from sorin help up better overall. Silverblade paladin also made the deck for a week or so for the doublestrike but he was to easy to kill off.

Now this deck does have a downside when it comes to mutilate or cower in fear really early game but the duty-bound dead will usually live as a blocker till you can recover and with most of your deck falling in the 2-3 cmc category recovery isn't that hard and a sun titan can be an amazing card late game to just sit and bring back everything they thought they got rid of (sadly not sorin or sublime)

Ok well I have a question. Would our new found Mikaeus kill Mirran crusader after you have taken 2 damage or all 4?

Hex Parasite, Lumberknot and this guy is just stupid funny with Pod also Grin or any other sac excuse.

B/G instead of pod use Disciple of Griselbrand or Ichor Explosion

    B/U/G GrimGrim becomes stupid Grin

or G/U use it for Vivisection.

I'm just saying there is a lot of opportunity for it to be a fun utility card for casual or a sly trick card for any green deck turn 3.
