I just randomly counted by humans and actually I counted about 50 in my 500 cube, which are 10%. Even better, most of the humans are either white or red two drops. I think I will give the Champion a run in the next update since it may be 2/2 for more often than one would think.
The effect is really powerful. Turn one elf, turn two this guy, turn three titan. In creature heavy green ramp he can be boss, though a 0/1 for 3 isnt impressive. He also seems cool with eldrazis.
People ran him on regular basis some time ago. Is he still fine for the artifact.dec and with the inclsuion of some bigger mana stones like Gilded Lotus and such?
The card has obv. some nice interactions with archetypes in the cube and brings a lot of flexibility. It can be a draw engine, can gain you a ton of life, create chump (!) blockers, guys to sac ...
The question only is: How slow is it?
How do you safe your cube against fire or flood? Extension of the hosehould insurance or an independant insurance? Special storage? I just found a waterproof and fireproof box at amazon (b/l/h: 333mm, 216mm, 93mm) and was wondering if I should buy it.
I like Wildfire decks and one thing that is crucial for these decks is the redundancy of Wildfire effects. Since I don't play Portal cards moneywise this card came in my mind. Costing seven instead of six is a big downside, "5" instead of "4" can be an upgrade or a downside. Did anyone play with this card?
When I entered the cube community this card was a staple. It got cut from a lot of cubes in the last years, probably because cubes got faster and less "dragon". If I look through my or other lists I see a lot of very fatties that are worth taking like Consecrated Sphinx, Griselbrand, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Angel of Serenity ....
Will this card have a comeback any time soon?
In the MODO cube green based super ramp decks are one of the most powerful. Though it feels like be overkill from time to time with all the mana, it is certainly an archetype that earns a second view. As easy as it is these decks need to generate a ton of mana and something to do with the mana. This can be creatures or big spells like Tooth and Nail or Genesis Wave.
This card was mentioned in another thread. It looks like it could be used by black very well. If you have the Pox / Smallpox package it can be very good and it has synergy with lot of other cards like discard or sac.

Again, performed well in peasant cube. In some situations he is better than Top, in others it is just slow and clunky. Thoughts?
He played very well in my peasant cube. He is very good with Blink effects and has an okay body. Is he good enough for regular cube?
Cons: Costs double white and huge blowout potential.
I always liked the card as a mix of a bad Mana Leak and a busted Force Spike. I think it is the next best counterspell to the common played?

This card got cut from a lot of cubes lately. Its on the bench for me right now, but to be honest I still like the card. Thoughts?

I think someone had to make this SCD. Unnecessary or still pretty strong?

Man, I wish the activations were free.

Some interesting choices. Not sure about the evaluation of Vraska, the new Angel. He also left out Armada Wurm and Deathrite Shaman.
