I wanted this card always to be good in cube. I counted my enchantments and got about 20 relevant targets it can grab. It came back in my mind with the addition of the black Pox Package and listening to a podcast.
Unless you want to add cards like Debtor's Knell the card is more a value guy than a card that finds an actual win condition, but maybe "only" finding Sylvan Library or Nether Void is good enough?

I think if the cost would be 5 and not 4 + one snow lots of cubes would play this card. Its colorless removal that does not take a spell slot.
I am considering to just ignore the snow symbol on the card and treat it as a normal cost. Thoughts?

Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
Legendary Creature - Ogre Warrior
Ruric Thar, the Unbowed attacks each turn if able.
Whenever a player casts a noncreature spell, Ruric Thar deals 6 damage to that player.
I dont think he is good enough for most cubes but at least we may expect some new titans :-).

I was wondering how people would rank these cards. IMO the fact that they dont compete with spell slots in the deck compensates that they only tap for colorless.
Stromghold is easily the 4th best Boros card and sees a lot of play in cube, but the others hardly get played.
I guess eidolon has success with the GW and RG one, as he still plays them in gis 4 ard guild section. I especially like the Township and guess that Wolf Run is good in any creature heavy midrange deck.
Vaul seems to have too much competition and Moorland Haunt to be in the wrong color combination.
I hope for some discussion and playtesting experience.
Feb 24, 2013I wonder if creating a tier 2 cube would be a fun idea to see cards that are good but not good enough for regular cubes. Cards like Geist-Honored Monk, Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Draining Whelk, Terminus, Buring-Tree Shaman ...Posted in: The Cube Forum
I guess the cube would be a bit more dragon cube, but I am sure aggro can be supported well, too.
Did anyone ever consider something like this?

While cutting down to 450 I was wondering if this card is good enough for this size. IMO its a sttrong card with a strong effect, bur the effect seems a bit out of place for white and "only" for value its a bit weak for a five drop.

I am always looking for more playable one drops. Stonewright failed in normal cube and Goblin Patrol is meh ....
The question is, if this card is only a Raging Goblin with an upside or a good battalion creature with a 1/1 body?

During last months cubes tend to allow black heavy cards and I wonder why this card wasnt discussed before. Its an edict on a 2/2 which is good. Or is the triple black too hard for this kind of effect?

I am not sure how to rate this card. It has bad mana costs. The body is fine, especially the hexproof. He is obviously good with spot removal and can be bonkers with hand disruption and/or countermagic. So colorwise he is in the right spot :-).

I counted 15 legends in my cube. I know it is not very much but Karakas has no downside outside of taking a slot in the cube, as it acts as a normal plains (well ok it can Wastelanded).
But I think it overall has too low impact?

I just randomly counted by humans and actually I counted about 50 in my 500 cube, which are 10%. Even better, most of the humans are either white or red two drops. I think I will give the Champion a run in the next update since it may be 2/2 for more often than one would think.
