Sincw the werewolf tribe mechanic is the flip mechanic i would love for them to actually be good at it. For now and a lot of original innistrad it seems that every other tribe is better at transforming than the transorming tribe.
That leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. And i am really bothered by the fact that it seems to remain the same in SOI
I think they're actually doing a really good job supporting the werewolf tribe this time around, as one of the big problems I remember from original innistrad was that flipping your werewolves involved skipping a turn... but with all the flash permanents they're making available to the tribe, you're not really skipping a turn, and still get to flip your own.
It helps to have flash support but it doesnt solve thr issue that you are at the mercy of your opponent. You need them to not cast on your turn as well if we dont have a moonmist effect.

Mythic cards are no longer part of green's color pie.
This is hilarious - literally made me laugh out loud as I was celebrating this card.
OT: I like this card as much, if not more, than Full Moon's Rise. The Flash really sets it off for me but I love that it boosts my wolves as well as my werewolves. The art is downright amazing, I was very much hoping that it would be on a card when it was on the first UR for SOI. I need it in a Playmat....like, now...no, like, yesterday.
This is, without exaggeration, the most uninspired piece of flavor text I've ever read.
Really? I mean, it's story stuff, right? That's got to count for something. (Maybe it's just that there are no other wolfir in the set...)
He's right IMO. Not only could I not possibly care less about the existence of Wolfir, it seems that Wizards doesn't either. Wolfir seem like such an afterthought that was drummed up in 5 minutes. This flavor text is boring, unnecessary, and meaningless.
It's supposed to be austere and minimalistic.
It hit the mark on minimalistic. However, my point is that their existence is entirely irrelevant even now. Thus, can't be austere or anything else with any substance

I love this! I have been trying to be so patient with my wolfy friends' reveals. This is wonderful and I agree, another moonmist effect would be prime. I like the art on this better than Reckless Waif but also I believe it's far more likely to get that 3 damage in than her.
Ayyy! Love this card, but would it have been too much to ask for it to be a 3/3? I mean come on, Zombies and Vampires are getting SUPER pushed. Having trample on a 2/2 that can't even pump itself is kind of lame.
Switch Trample with Flash like Wolfir Avenger and make it an actual wolf or werewolf instead of this inbetween crap, and it's literally the perfect card imo
Man I hate that this stupid wolfir junk is back. I love this card for what it does, which means I'll be running tons of them in my pet decks. But I HATE the whole idea of wolfir - it's just stupid.
Interesting. I loooove that game-winning, not-too-expensive Ultimate, but I can't imagine if you're using her + abilities and not her others that the Ult is anything but win-more.
You run a lot of red green that is thinking about turns 5,6 and 7? I mean your first point cuts both ways. After turn 4, a lot of what this card does, value wise, is reduced simply based on how late in the game it is gonna happen. Not talking standard. In standard I think she's fine. In modern or beyond, a 4 mana spell needs to have a pretty decent impact on the game immediately. Not sure a 2/2 token is enough. I guess I could see it working into some decks as a 1 or 2 of but that won't sustain anywhere near its current price point.
You have valid points about Modern. But I must say I would love to see a RG or Naya midrange come together (although I don't see how it could be competitive against the speed of the format). I like the idea of T1 Birds, T2 3CMC creature, T3 Arlinn. Sounds like a fun curve. But as you're indicating, if she is a 2 of, the odds of that happening consistently are almost non-existent.
I also agree that she is overpriced in monetary terms. But I am happy to see her price drop so I can pick up a bunch of copies for funsies.
I mean 4 mana for a 2/2 wolf token and a boltable walker isn't really that op. IDK, maybe I want her worse than she is so I can pick them up for a bit less. She just seems really clunky. I mean, if you do the previous play you have to follow it up by either attacking with a 3/3 wolf and leaving her open to attack, or bolt something and drop her already low loyalty further. At 2 loyalty I don't like her chances and at 4 loyalty you need at least one guy to leave back to protect her.
So...in your mind, you're playing her in a RG deck that doesn't play a creature on turn 1 or 2? I think you have bigger problems than her fragility if that's the case...
I mean, agree with your first sentence. At 4 mana, being able to be smacked by a lightning bolt as you play her keeps her OP-ness in check for sure. But honestly, in a deck that wants this card, she is strong and versatile.

Oh my goodness, you guys are killing me. Seriously my sides hurt from laughing so hard

I'd say it's more of a Win-Now than a win-more.
