Kamigawa block's storyline wasn't about the Kami war, per se. It's about Toshiro Umezawa making life unbearable for people on every side of the war. And that is why it would make a fantastic anime series

(We used to get one prerelease to cover the whole city before the rule changed to let each store hold a seperate event so it broke up the numbers and killed the monopoly the dodgier store had on the events)
